Welcome to the first meeting in our Summer Side-Dish Series

I’m planning on, over the next couple of months to do a series on my… I mean OUR… favorite summer side dishes. If you want to vote on what recipes you’d like to see in the coming months, visit [this|link] post to vote for your favorites. For this first month we’re going to be featuring one of my family’s favorite sides: Deviled Eggs.

Besides the awesome recipe I’ll also be giving away TWO $25 EF gift certificates during the meeting: one will go to the winner of our monthly Guess the Gadget contest, and the other to the winner of a trivia contest, so be prepared to pay attention to fun facts along the way.

Are we ready to get started?

Thanks for the welcome, wasn't sure if I'd make it in time.

Vac: Too true, haha.

Great!

Wait...are we talking about the ones for the summer party or the ones for critiquing.

Well, either way...great!

As usual, first I’ll give you the list of ingredients and then we’ll go through the recipe with lots of yummy pictures

Ingredients:

5 eggs
1/8(ish) cup mayonnaise
1 1/2 tsp. Dijon mustard
1 tsp. chopped chives plus extra for garnish
paprika to garnish

(As I always say, I’ll get into possible alterations that I can recommend as we get into the recipe a bit more. Also please feel free to take this recipe and make it your own if there’s an ingredient you don’t like or would like to include… GO AHEAD! Recipes (except in baking) are more guidelines than hard and fast rules.)

The ones for critiquing. The ones for the summer party are going to be a lot harder to get since I need a day when my husband is home, my family isn't, and I can take pictures outside. I'm hoping that day is tomorrow or next Friday.

Yup. You probably could too with a little effort (i.e., something to boost the temperature), but I imagine it would be a bit difficult.
