AND... for those who know about my day... a Cadbury egg and an evening with you fine folks is the perfect way to unwind from it.

Next...

Before the pureeing and after the removal of the bay leaves you’ll add your creamer of choice. The ones that I have tried, and can easily recommend are: one can of unsweetened coconut milk, one to two cups of heavy cream, or one 14 ounce package of soft tofu that’s been pureed with some of the liquid in the tofu package.

Once you’ve gotten it pureed to your satisfaction give it a taste and see if you want to add some sweetening. I added a tablespoon of Grade-B Vermont maple syrup, but you could add some brown sugar, honey, or a bit of molasses.

The shade will depend on how roasted you got your squash before you chucked it in the pot with your broth of choice

Tadaaaa!

The bowl here was made with chicken broth, creamed with pureed tofu, sweetened with maple syrup, and topped with sliced almonds and chopped chives. Some of my favorite toppings include: home-made croutons, sliced almonds, chives, sliced green onion, candied pecans, and roasted pumpkin seeds.

It looks slightly thick, let's say if for some reason it is to thick, can you just add more broth or water?

Um... no. I have trouble following recipes, which made writing one a challenge let me tell you! The thing about baking is that if you don't follow the recipe, it doesn't work.... at all. I think the bread here was a sourdough I picked up when I bought my squash.

Why won't my spoon go through the screen? I wish I could have that right now! It looks scrumptious.

Just the ones I've listed, but don't let that stop you if you think of something amazing
