I've seen it at our store and have been considering it. We've already tried frog legs, alligator, and raw oysters, so...
(By the way, frog legs have almost no meat on them and I felt guilty about eating them. Alligator is really tough and one of our kids choked on it. Raw oysters, in the cooler months and FRESH, are good with hot sauce.)
The only "beef" we had in Hubei was buffalo. I have had it in all sorts of various ways, and I hated it and basically stopped eating beef (they called buffalo meat beef) and never got back into eating beef.
I have seen Buffalo meat sold in grocery stores lately. I read how lean the product is, but do you like it? Do you eating the meat as a steak, hamburger, or as a roast?
Well, FYI, I had my first buffalo burger at the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar in Jackson, WY. It was very good; it seemed to taste just like a regular beef burger, but with a glass of beer, I couldn't really tell the difference! I will consider buying a buffalo steak sometime in the near future when my local supermarket has it available.
