Fry it. The trick with bacon is you have to cook it slowly.

I microwave bacon. It reduces the amount of fat, plus it destroys most of the nitrates, which can contribute to cancer.

Wow, I'm seeing a lot of frying and microwaving. Me, I cook my bacon in the oven. It comes out much flatter than with direct heat like frying, so it can go onto sammiches or be chopped for salad easier. But for breakfast, it's gotta be curly, so I fry it then.

That's me too!

Bake it around 375 or so for about 15-20 mins on a bake pan covered in lubed foil (cooking spray, not Maximus!...it's water based).

Make sure you flip it once.

PERFECT bacon!

I fry it, or when I want to avoid splatter I cook it in our Forman grill. Which actually is really great for doing it in a hurry.

I don't like bacon, but apparently, I make the world'd best ever bacon. (Everyone I cook it for raves about it). It takes me literally about three hours over super low heat to cook it in a frying pan. I know that sounds like forever (it is, which is why I only do it for special occasions), but seriously.. Once you try it, you won't ever bother having bacon unless you take a zillion years to cook it!

Low heat is the way to go!

I'm a fan of in-the-oven, though I make it in the pan when I decide to include it in my omelette.

I slow-bake it in the oven, comes out nice and crunchy. For pasta dishes, I cook them in the pan.

I cook it in the microwave because I like instant gratification and don't like the extra couple of minutes it takes to cook it on the stove.

I like simple things so I buy the already cooked and put it in the microwave. If I buy regular bacon I will put it in the oven.

I don't eat bacon, but my husband does and he just recently started baking it. He says he will NEVER go back to cooking it on the stove. He's something of a pork connoisseur, so if he declares it good, I trust him.

I do it in the pan, so I can use the residual fat to cook my eggs.
