I am neither North American nor a meat eater. And I married a Canadian who thinks that there is something wrong in the world if there is not meat as part of every meal.

We have been married nearly six years and I have never tried to make him Meatloaf, but I was thinking it was about time as he mentioned it in passing recently.

I would really appreciate anyone giving me a clue about the best way to make this, taking into account that where we are currently living the only ground meat I can get is beef. And that somehow, magically, it will be as good as the meatloaf his mom used to make!!!

Well, I'm North American and I'm with your husband about the meat. I did have to go vegan a while for health reasons, but I love meat!

Nothing wrong with making meatloaf with all beef, I do it often. Are you looking for a classic recipe or something a little different as to not compete with mom? I usually do asian, southwest, italian, BBQ and other types.
