Thai --> Italian --> Chinese --> Mexican --> GOOD vegan = the chain of eating-out preferences. Vegan food, when done properly, can be absolutely amazing, but I'd take some grease-dripping tacos and a side of spanish rice over veg* any day and a good pork fried rice with almond duck over the mexican, etc.
I love all food. But if you want spicy and not complicated I feel like Indian is the way to go. Also their food is usually pretty healthy with not much grease as long as you're not making their deserts.
