I love the idea. We have $2000 worth of things we plan on donating in the next couple weeks.

I'd have to do some research for donating canned food of mine, but the clothing is easy. Take pictures of the clothes you're donating, take some pictures of you dropping it into the box, and share it with us and smile knowing you helped

My wife has a nice link to figureing out how much clothing and other materials are worth for donations. I'll get you that link.

Yup I sent Carrie Ann a post to look over a few days ago, this weeks training hasn't really started yet but I'll write up a blog post wed.

I used the donation-worth calculator for taxes this year. It seems we get rid of an entire closet of clothes each year through donation.

It certainly helps people get in the donation mood. It's a bit unfortunate, but most of us (myself included) find it easier to donate when there is some benefit to them as well.

In case you didnt see my message, we are at approx $275 so far. And everyone here has agreed to put on their thinking caps and to also promote where they can to help raise the money and awareness.

I'm doing pretty well cconsidering I'm not an experienced runner. At 4'11 I don't really have a runners stride.
