I almost did the same thing!

But you're here now and there's nothing that says y'all have to stop talking right when the meeting officially ends

No contribution is too small. If we all get together and give a small contribution we can help a lot of people.

I think its a great idea to keep it going all year round, winter would be a good time to add a coat drive for the colder areas

I'd definitely support it. Helping out others is what life is all about. I have to go do some things, but I'll check back and read up later. And I'd be happy to share any of my personal stories if it's useful.

No problem, thank you for stopping by, even if it was only for a short while. When we do fundraisers we do that list, but we haven't so far with this drive. However we could probably do that very easily.

And.. if you can think of anything else you'd like to add, or if you'd like to do something more large scale, please do email me (Sam @edenfantasys.com) so we can discuss it.

Food drives are a big need in many community's right now so I think that is a great idea.

Yeah, that would be a lot easier for staff to keep track of too.

So I just convert the points into a gift card and email the gift card code to Gary?

With the meeting coming to a close shortly, is there anything else anybody would like to bring up at all?

Gary covered this in the CPM on Thursday, but basically, for the first fundraiser we broke it down to exact costs of point usage and matched that. As that was a little confusing to explain over and over, we have since then been honoring points at full dollar value. In this way, EF gives the same, its easier to explain, and in conversation it ultimately gives the community all the credit!

Also, the meeting is now "officially" over. However anybody and everybody should feel free to keep chatting and offering up ideas

Is there a deadline to donate? And will the final amount raised be posted?

Thanks for supporting Joplin and the tornado victims!

My cat just zipped out the door and is hiding under the car in the driveway. I have to get her. I'll be back on later.

Oh crud, I don't think we've announced one yet. What would be a good length? A month, until the next meeting?

I know schools just getting out, but even if you dont have kids, if you keep the Box top stamps on the packaging of certain products or cambells soup labels, you can donate them to either your local schools since they are always in need of extra funding.

A month sounds good. Maybe Independence Day? Work in a patriotic theme and it might help donations.
