Where to Learn about Kink Publicly

There are many avenues of where to learn about kink. One of the more popular ones is learning about kink in public environments. Nearly every large city in the US and in other countries has a group dedicated to educating and teaching people about kink and how to properly practice kink. They also teach important safety issues and protocols.

Have you considered seeking a local kink group to explore your kinky side? If so, what was your experience like? If not, would you consider it?

For myself, I sought out my local kink group when I was twenty and joined what they called TNG (The Next Generation). When I was able to join the larger group when I turned 21 I learned a lot of things in regard to protocol, playing, and what types of play and relationship exchanges I liked. My experience was a pleasant one and actually inspired me to educate others new to the community as well.

I haven't really looked for any, but yes would be more than willing to try. Luckily I am in a relationship where he is willing to explore many things with me.

One of the great things about local groups is that they usually have meetings at low key places such as restaurants or coffee shops so that you can meet the people in the community in a "vanilla" setting. There is no kink involved and you get the chance to meet like minded people without feeling intimidated or that you have to participate in activities you might not be ready to participate in.

Maybe one day I'll look into it. We're pretty tame right now, and don't have much free time. I'd feel like I was wasting the time of the community I was trying to join, lol.

I'm an active member of two of my local kink groups! Odysset brings in presenters who do everything from hands on classes on various kink, to people giving talks on a variety of interesting topics, to play parties, and our local kinkster group which is mostly meetups and parties. Both groups offer different things which meet my needs perfectly. I'm glad that I found both groups-they'r both wonderful, and so welcoming and supportive to new kinky people!

My last master was very much into the community end of the lifestyle. Munches, play parties, etc. I've thought about it but it's not something I'm sure I'd want to do with any regularity.

We have brought "friends" home from time to time. We have been together many years. Ive found with them though (someone you see in an everyday setting) that things tend to get a little complicated.

How have you explored in private? If you have not, have you considered doing so? If you have explored in private, what tools have you used?

There are many things that can aid in exploration in private. Eden, along with other sites, carry a multitude of kinky items that can enhance the experience in the bedroom. Many people are not "hard core" into BDSM and just like to experience a light cuffing session during sex or a light flogging. I enjoy being beaten in the bedroom and exploring with my partner just as much as I like to in public.

I'm pretty open about experimenting as is my dominant, so together we're continually trying new things. Right now I love being beaten and tied up.

I've definitely been exploring in my private life. Up until December I had pretty much exclusively ID'd as a Domme, but found someone I was willing to sub for. He's introduced me to all sorts of fun things as a sub, including some I never though I would be into.
