drink lots of water, for me I increased my activity but with low - no impact exercise so I didn't cause a flare up with my fibromyalgia, so lots of swimming. I don't really do a crazy swim routine, just swim back and forth following my son as he learns to doggy paddle.
I swapped out my snack foods with healthier things like popcorn but in general I am not trying that hard, as I said I think the biggest change is the lack of hormonal birth control so I am no longer getting that weight gain from it.
I have been using my BonBon a lot.... so that could be part of it lol
