It’s time for another meeting of the Eden Photographers Club! For April’s Eden Photographers meeting, which will be held on Tuesday, April 19 at 7:00 EDT, we will be discussing the finer points of the Rule of Thirds, one of the most important compositional components of photography. Although an article on the Rule of Thirds has been posted already, I will run through a short tutorial on how to best utilize it.

We will also be talking about the prior month’s critiquing and introducing the following months theme for photos that are to be submitted for critiquing.

Also, two $25 EdenFantasys gift cards will be awarded during the course of the meetings based on who first answers trivia questions correctly. The trivia will be gleaned from the articles I have posted on the Eden Clubs and Events Blog over the past month, so to improve your chances of winning a gift card, get over there and read the articles.

Finally, as usual, this is your chance to take ownership of the Eden Photographers Club. It is where you will be able to express you opinions on where you want to see the club headed, ideas for new activities, and topics you would like to see discussed. Of course, like all EF meetings, it will be a fun and free-wheeling opportunity to socialize with other EFers.

OK, I've cross posted this on Facebook, but I'm willing to go to any lengths....

OK, I've heard excuses ranging from "But Glee is going to be on!" to "I'm just too tired after the party last light." to "I'm afraid to attend because you are so hot that I might not be able to stop thinking about you if you talk photography for an hour!" OK, so that last one isn't entirely accurate, but what's it going to take for some of you to attend? I'll tell you what, I have one photo that never made it into the now-infamous photo last night. If at least 15 people attend and participate in the Eden Photographers meeting tonight - Sigh - I'll post it at the end of the meeting. Alternatively, if the vote is to destroy the image so no one else can ever be harmed by it, I can do that too. Regardless, please consider attending our meeting tonight. It can only help your photographic exploits.

Although I absolutely respect the reason for which you will be unable to attend, the 15 won't be counting you.

Haha I wish, but no. My husband has been sick for the last week and I thought I was in the clear since I hadn't gotten anything yet, but this morning it snuck up on me and I've been unhappy about it all day. I'm looking very forward to bed tonight


And on a side note, both my husband and my mother thought that video was hilariously awesome
