I like the idea of it, what with the hood ornament and all the reflections on the hood. I'd like to see the ornament not touching the frame and a shallower depth of field to really make it pop out from its surroundings.

I promise it's really easy!

Remember, any time you critique a photo, either formally or informally, it can help you as a photographer. Get into the habit of looking at photos and see what you can take away from each of them. It will make you a better photographer.

hard to find something to say negative wise. For one, the shading seems a little weird to me. The shadows under the chocolate look strange in color like you may ... more
Actually, I didn't do any editing---it's probably just that they're sitting on wax paper that makes the shadows look unusual.

Good critiques, thank you all!

Cool mirror image! I love the composition.

I think I would have shut the door of the truck in the background, though, and center the ornament+reflection like Vaccinium said.

Ah yea wax paper does do weird things like that. Wonder if wax paper would be good to use as a diffuser

I may have to try and recreate the shot with my own once it's done with paint then.

And that's it. Thanks to all of you who attended the meeting tonight

I would like to make an announcement at this time. This will be the last Eden Photographers meeting I host. It has been a great year for me managing this meeting, but the time has come for me to step down. My life has changed considerably in the past 12 months, and my energies need to be directed towards other endeavors.

I would like to thank everyone who has attended these past 12 meetings, and I'd like to extend a special thanks to Sam for helping me through managing this club. The idea for a photography club was initially hers, and she was instrumental in it running as smoothly as it did. I would also like to thank EdenFantasys for providing the platform and support to run the club. Clearly there would have been no club if not for them.

I still plan of being around EdenFantasys, and if anyone ever has any photography related questions or just wants to chat, I'll of course be happy to respond.

Feel free to continue chatting here if you so desire. Otherwise, good night, everyone!

Vaccinium, I will miss having you as a host, but I can't think of anybody who could have done a better job with it.

Thank you. Like I said, I'll still be around. I just can't give this club the kind of attention I feel it deserves.

Naw, those are truffles (We made them last night at the Cooks meeting!) Kazoos are the things you make as a kid, where you wrap waxed paper around a comb and hum through it to get a buzzing sound.

Oh sorry! The photo has to be uploaded on the internet first. You can use something like Photobucket or imageshack or flickr if you want. Anywhere that the photo can be hosted.

Make sure your url ends with .jpg

Otherwise, just put [img| on one side of the url and the opposite end of the brackets on the other end.
