OK. This next photo is better from the aspect of - and excuse the contradiction - positive negative space.

I like the way that this picture captures a feeling of solitude. The bottom of the picture is kind of distracting because it is so dark in contrast to the rest.

Would it be bad if I said I was completely neutral about this one? I do like all of the lines, there's a lot of geometry going on and that's always something I enjoy seeing in photography, but there isn't really anything that screams out to me.

I find the tree to be distracting, though. taken from a different angle, the tree would have been out of the frame.

After looking at it a little more, I definitely do get that feeling too.

I like the situation of the subject in the right third of the photo and the questions the photos raises (e.g., what the hell is he looking at?)

I find the garbage in the lower left to be distracting, though. It keeps drawing my eye (not that there's much you could do about that).

I keep a lot of my photos with dark areas. I dunno why I think it is something I personally find alluring. But by no means am I offended or saying you guys are wrong about my work. Art is subjective like ive said countless time. And people have different tastes.

ooh, those are your feet? me likey. i bet with a little tweeking in photoshop you could amp up the contrast a bit and make this look even older. it's a pretty hot shot. i really like the angle and the old time feel juxtaposed with your modern tattoo.

That's how I feel too. The upper right corner is just a little sky and cloud and I feel that the tree takes away from it. I wish I could have gotten a different angle on it.

Lol @alice. Maybe thats why I like them so much.

Starkiller, I wonder why?

Antipova thanks and Sam, I wish that I would have had more time to concentrate on this one more. I remember exactly where it is in NM and I plan on hitting it at sunset next time too for better colors.

To me the light coming in off the right is a bit distracting, and keeps me from noticing the left half of the photo right away. Once I get past that though, I absolutely love the silhouette and the lace.
