This club is a place for aspiring writers to get some helpful, friendly feedback on their talent. It will include, but not be limited to, erotica of all nature. The writing styles will be diverse and the community will be able to weigh in on the style, content and opinion (in the case of editorial type pieces). This club is not an erotica writing club, however. We write on a diverse number of topics and our club is about the joy of writing rather than a specific genre of writing.
The club has a total of 4 topics each month for club members to choose from:
*One fun topic chosen at the monthly meeting and approved of, by you, the club members.
*I will be offering a short tutorial aimed at improving skills each month and I will offer a topic as a chance to practice. Each month we will vote on the best example of the skills we are working on and that writer will receive a $25 gift card!
*For those writers who prefer to just write whatever they choose we offer an open topic.
*We support our community here at EF by writing stories and articles based on the EdenFantasys Monthly Theme. This is the only topic that has a restriction on the depth of hard core erotica that will be accepted. Since this is for the community we keep this relatively tame. Romance, real life, and soft edges are always appreciated here!
The writing style will be up to the individual writer. We used to have a limit of how many pieces each writer could submit per month but since we are posting the work directly to the forums we have a bit more leeway. We do discuss each piece at the Monthly meeting so if we have a time crunch we will discuss the 'Critical Review' topic first as that one is aimed at building writing skill and then the chosen topic and open topic work.
Please show your support for our club by writing a critique on the threads the stories are posted on. If you cannot make the meeting this is essential as it will be your voice!
Every month after the meeting I post a forum where I recap the meeting and post the assignments for the next month. There will be a hashtag we will need for you use in your discussion thread topic line. It will look like: #EdenLit - Critical Review - (3.2012) - Second Person Narrative - Your Story Title. This allows us to organize the work so your piece doesn't slip through the cracks.
Our meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 7pm est right here on these forums. We welcome readers as well as writers, often we will offer a gift card for new members or readers who wander in to our meeting!
We ask writer’s for finished pieces not story outlines or rough drafts. You choose how your work fits into the topic and you can provide a small blurb about the story, if you choose, or you can explain your thoughts on the piece at the meeting.
We do not expect all writing to be erotica nor are you required to include any element of sex in the writing. This club is about the joy of writing and writing about a topic! You can be as hard core as you like and we ask that our readers understand that this is a club that is open to extreme erotica, it’s not always going to be work friendly. We are expanding our literary boundaries and exploring the deep recesses of our creativity, sometimes it’s not going to be pretty but it will always be exciting.
There is room in the future for contests, charity drives or virtually any type of writing based activity the community can dream up. There is room here for fiction writers, non-fiction writers, romance writers, poets, editorialists, and arm chair enthusiasts! We have a written a book already from our writing and we are waiting for it to be finished being published!
