That is incredibly cool of eden... awesome

Once it is together where would I be able to find it?

So, this is probably a dumb question but is this club weekly or monthly? And is it always at 3pm?

I was wondering the same thing.

Ok so we have prompts, a story start idea, 2 lessons dealing with poetry, some ideas for future lessons and activities, and we have a few new members to the club! WOW it's been a great meeting!

Make sure you look for the assignment thread which will have the story start and other topics listed as well as a run down on the meeting. I post an article for SexIs about a week before each meeting so if you want to be considered for writer of the month be sure to post your work asap!
I will be posting about 2 lessons a week so check them out and leave comments so I know what areas we are most interested in exploring further.
I do answer any questions posted so don't hesitate!

The club meeting is every month on the second Monday at 3 pm est. I am tiptoe'ing around the forum all month though. Stories and poems ect. can be posted anytime with the headline: #EdenLit-(month.year)- topic-title

I gather up all the work for the month and post it to the meeting forum a week before the meeting.

For instance would you be cool about a writer if they start writing about how they took a child and what they did to the child? I sure wouldn't be, I would get very mad. That's illegal and so is rape.

The act is illegal, writing about it, however, is not illegal.

I don't mind stories about rape so long as the topic is treated with respect. Rape is too prevalent as a means of obtaining power over a victim to treat it with humor. I realize that we tend to use humor to cover our horror at the act but it does hurt someone who is still trying to regain their sense of self and footing after being brutalized. If you want to write about rape I have no issue but realize that the community as a whole treats this issue with kid gloves.
Unfortunately almost all of us has either lived the horror or knows someone struggling with the aftermath. Maybe when the world has changed and this isn't seen as the ultimate power trip by sick individuals we can use humor to soften the edges...for now it's just best not to.

Sorry I missed this earlier. I actually haven't posted any fiction to EF yet, for some reason I've kept my blog and EF separate, not that I've tried to do it that way, it just has been. I'm hoping to link more in over time.

Anything that's illegal in the real world is also illegal here - no child porn, no Lolita-style erotica, no bestiality, and no rape stores. Unless the rape story is overcoming traumas, not graphic details of raping someone else.

NO they are separate and go by the heading #Eden Lit Lessons. We are creating a sort of data base of information about improving writing skills here on EF. We will perhaps discuss the lessons but the meetings are more about what was written during the month and issues we are interested in discussing at the time!

No that is against the standards here at EF. We are prohibited from writing about underage sexual acts (unless you are speaking about yourself and it's non-fiction) and bestiality. While it is not illegal it is a grey area the staff and the owner would rather not inhabit.

I guess I saw an eden lit rape story being more so like a fantasy rape story, like, he(my fella) tied me to the bed and took me how he wanted me.. rather than... i raped this woman last night, let me tell you how i made her the saddest girl in the world.

Then that would be described as power play and submission and is a little bit different than (someone shoot me now) *rape rape*.

If you want to post a link to specific stories on your blog then we'd be thrilled so long as the stories don't have the topics that Stormy mentioned. Like I said earlier, EF claims no rights to the work posted in Eden Lit...even if you submit it to be published in a book at some later date.
