We don't have many stories to talk about but we do have lots of changes we are working on for the forum which will make posting work less chaotic.

I have received news that our book 'From Our Garden Flows A Dream' has been handed off to the final people for publication! Exciting news, no? Now we need to start thinking about what our next big project will be.

Sounds like some good info. This tax seaason has been insane for me and my writing time has really suffered. I am at a convention the rest of this week, though, so if I can tear myself away from wandering the streets of Boston, I will try to get story or article written to share before Mondy. Hopefully that won't be too much of an inconvenience.

I hate when real life interferes with my online endevours.

This Month we will be concluding our look at perspective with Third Person Perspective or Narrative. It will be a longer bit of information but very interesting, I think. After that we'll spend sometime looking at how to combine the different narratives seamlessly and intelligibly.

Alright, I didn't actually get anything written, again *grumble*. But I did find a story I started last year and figured it was enough to share as a first chapter or intro to a longer story.

As I re-read it, I notice it flips between first and second person, but I hope it brings a smile to a few of you.

For the most part this story is very close to second person perspective but you are right it does incorporate quite a lot of first person perspective as well. It does the job of bringing the reader into the story and forcing them to feel what you want them to feel as an author but it does it by employing a blending of the two perspectives. We will discuss this style of writing next month after we look at Third Person Perspective tonight!

Welcome to the April, 2012 meeting of the EdenLit Writers Club!!

Tonight we have a few stories to discuss, third person perspective to learn about and some decisions about the club we should be thinking about! It should be a very exciting evening.

I found it really difficult to write that story. The second-person perspective (or whatever it is) really threw me.

My question is: Was this a personal recounting or pure fiction or a mixture of both? I loved the way you stayed in second perspective so amazingly well and the story did evoke feelings of nervousness, anger, hurt, embarrassment, as well as the happy ending when I found out I would be able to live through the experience and grow from it. Super work!

It was based on somethings that happened to me, yes. And thanks, it was hard work!
