I like this idea. My son also goes to bed at 7 and Mondays by 7 pm I've sometimes been up for 24 hours and just want to pass out.

So after Feb. 7th we will get together to read and offer feedback about each other's work? I'm wondering, because there were some earlier comments about showcasing the writings for the whole community. We're going to have a get-together before this happens to discuss our drafts, correct?

You can submit anything that fits these topics, either stuff you previously wrote or stuff you whipped up that morning.

We are asking for finished pieces not drafts for this club. The pieces will be up for the whole community to read and talk about. We will meet next month and discuss the pieces as a club.

Good question! Should the pieces stand alone under the topic or should we include a short back story? I am in favor of allowing the author to decide that, myself. What are your thoughts?

Sounds good. If they feel it is necessary at the time of submission, to go ahead and do that. Some pieces are best understood that way.

There's no word limit at this point, either minimum or maximum. If this gets to be a problem in the future then we'll revisit this. The only qualification is that it must be a finished piece.
