Eden Lit- June 13, 2011 at 7pm EST: Writers Club

Contributor: Airen Wolf Airen Wolf
To read the submissions this month check out our Eden Lit Blog. As usual Carrie Ann has outdone herself!

This month the topics were:
*Story Continuation- this is a continuation category for all those stories we simply don't want to let go of! This topic can be used to cover previous month's topics you'd like to explore, it's sort of a catch all topic. Flights of extreme fantasy or extreme reality can be found here.

*The one/ The one who got away- Do you have a wonderful story you'd like to share about the amazing person (or persons) you share your life with? How did you know he/she/they were the one(s)? Did you have the 'One' and he/she got away? Were YOU the one who got away? Tell us all about it....

*EdenFantasys- What brought you here to EF? What made you decide to keep coming back? Candid stories/poems/diatribe s about our wonderful community is the topic!

We welcome any and all readers to our club meeting. This club isn't closed to non-writers. As always, if you can't make it to the meeting, don't worry, just read the discussion and add your thoughts. If you know you can't make it but want to make a suggestion about a topic message me here at EF (Airenwolf) your suggestions and I'll bring them up at the meeting.

I *might* be able to make this meeting. I *SHOULD* be able to, but it's the day after we get back from vacation, and you know how that can go! Either way, the submissions I've read this month are great, and I even managed to squeak one in...

I am beginning my readings now!!! I do not know if I will be able to attend or not, but I shall try to read them all and comment!! If I have missed leaving a comment, PLEASE let me know. I am pretty sure I have read them all, but with all the tabs open I might have slipped up!!!

My idea's for next months submissions.... I'll just list them all just in case....

a) Favourite birthday memory
b) Can we do a ditty? Something like a story told in verse, or again where we get five odd words (the odder the better), and a topic, and we have to write a ditty? For example; 1) tree 2) Captain Picard 3) scaffolding 4) Glee 5) birthday and the topic being "heinys" (did I spell that right?)
c) The One you dream about (the fantasy man or woman, that is real, but is the fantasy man/woman)
d) Your favourite toy and why its your favourite toy (just one!!!!!)
e) The most spontaneous thing you've ever done
f) and I am out of ideas.

No worries if you pick one or none of them! I am just putting them out there in case I am unable to attend!!!

I have to agree!!! "Woman" is my usual screen name, only it was taken!!! BUt I've not seen another "Woman" jumping around these parts... and I'd rather not be called the bathroom!!! Even though bathrooms usually have perfumes in them and I like perfumes... but still. A woman needs to have standards!!! LOL!!!

I agree... there are so many wonderful submissions this month!!! Some had my scratching my head going.. did I miss something.. that was odd but I liked it! And some that just were works of art that were wonderfully beautiful.

My fingers are crossed that I will be able to visit even if it is for a short while!

*closes eyes real tight like and sends Haroldish subliminal messages to everyone*

Diiiiiiiittttttttttttt ttttiiiiiiiieeeeeessss s!!!

Now. Hopefully that will haunt everyone for an age. I have a thing of late you see. And that thing is quirky, qwarky, queerish ditties.

Plus in a very odd attempt to bump this message to the top of the pile...

Welcome to the June Meeting of the Eden Lit Club!

We had a lot of great work submitted this month! With such great topics it couldn't help but be a great read.

I think my favorite one was Woman's post about Harold and Harry. It had me chuckling the whole time I was reading it.

I would have to agree with that. I know I don't get to read all of them as thoroughly as I'd like, but I have enjoyed every one I've read so far!

I also loved Bex's beautiful story about house sitting and how wonderful it is. The poem? Had me stunned by it's loveliness.

Bex made me drool with envy over the ability to be able to house sit and travel like that.

Oh my goodness, I was definitely not expecting that story when I clicked on the title. However I thought it was written very well, and I really did like reading it.

Now Karen's "The One" had my little romantic heart beating! I know that you can't ever hope to show how hard it is to pull yourself up and move on with kids in tow but her strength and courage amazed and humbled me. SUCH an amazing story!
