Holy fiddlesticks. I am so sorry I didn't realize the meeting was at this very moment in time. I'm currently all doped up dealing with back pain after trying to sleep with a packer harness on last night, so I won't be joining in for the discussion.

I hope everyone has a lot of fun tonight. I look forward to seeing next month's topics and my apologies in advance for not really participating by reading or writing for this month's activities. It's been hella crazy and things are just starting to level out. I'll check back in a little later. Much love and I hope everyone is well!

I would agree with that. There was actually an article that somebody shared on Facebook the other day ... looking for it ... here it is! And your story reminded me a lot of that article, since they have a somewhat similar theme.

It isn't birthdays that have made me feel like an adult, but other milestones...like being responsible for paying the "bills" and not feeling like it is obligatory to "celebrate" my b-day. Sometimes I even forget about it and I am not "hurt" if others forget it also. If anyone does remember my b-d, I like to be surprised by them.

My Dad is dying and my Mom is going crazy in her grief and fear. It hurts that we can't be a family right now during this but I can't let myself become a target for her pain again, ya know?

My gawd Woman you wrote a powerful story conclusion....I am all unsure how to feel. I am happy for Gwen and sad for her and all mixed up. This is my greatest fear...the fear of that final loss. Just amazing work...

It is easier because I didn't have to watch my vital, strong and bulletproof Dad get sicker and weaker but it does hurt not being there.
