"- This is up to you / club. Fred (big boss) suggests - name/ nickname - half page with picture or no-pic (no avatars) & brief description / bio and URL - Standardize the blurb to fit all authors. my interests, my life, my fantasy standard for everyone 1-2 sentence for each. "

This would be interesting to try to make it only a sentence or two.

I am ok with that. It may even inspire me to get my submissions in before then!

EXACTLY!!! we need to decide this. I think setting a deadline will get the procrastinators off the fence, as it were. No limit on the submission at this point but more than likely we'll be limiting the number of works in the book itself per author.
Yes because I so procrastinate. And limited the amount of published work is good...Im just undecided so I know I may submit several and see what happens.

My thoughts exactly...Im not favoring pics because we actually do have some writers this could hurt in their personal/professional lives but a line or two written by the author would be most interesting.

So... because I missed a few months, and I have read all the other months meetings I just need to make sure I understand.

For the book, we are using past submissions. And then voting on which topics and which submissions should go in???

We'll edit the bios I'm sure speaking of which what sort of voting would you guys prefer? We can either host the stories on the blog with a link and then vote on the forums or do something else....what I have no idea!

I would love to have my avatar used, as it is indeed a picture of me while out in the Gobi. But no avatars used.

Or everyone can get a silhouette of themselves and call the book, "EdenLit presents the Silhouette Club" ... ghost writers!!!! LOL!!! My brain needs more coffee.

What about a picture that best represents them? Or having the photos optional?

We will be using the topics that the stories people choose fall under as the chapter theme...at least that's the plan right now. We opened the submission to the whole community and we've received a few great ones. We'll vote as a community on the best of the best and go from there.

Do you have the titles of the chapters? I think I do better if I'm given a bit of a prompt.

Is there a separate submission process for the book?

Could we do a blog and pick a club night to vote? Kind of like how Woman has hers set up password protected.

I say, set a date say October first for submissions. While we are waiting for submissions, someone posts a voting thread about which topics to put into the book with links to the specific category in the EdenLit Blog and the description you used when explaining the topic in the Forums. This deadline should be a few days after the deadline (example October 1).

We decided to nix the limit for previous month's topic submissions because it'll give ech author a better chance....some of us have written every month so we want it to be fair.

The limit is currently still on the current month's submissions....however if you want to submit more than three for, say, this month's topics send the extras to me and they will go into the pulic voting poll. We just can't give the GCs formre than 3 submissions if that makes sense.

I was using October 1 as an example as that is what popped into my head when I looked at the calendar. I was thinking of having the topics for the chapters due in after the submissions are in.
