Looking for More....

Contributor: Airen Wolf Airen Wolf
Ok now that I have your attention I'll tel you what we are looking for. The Eden Lit Writers Club is looking for YOU! We have a bunch of room in our book for a few writers who may have, for whatever, reason not realized we exist or have been too afraid or intimidated to submit their work.
Anyone who has been at our meetings knows we celebrate the absolute joy of writing we don't judge each other harshly. Some of our writing has been raw and emotional, others have been lyrical and polished, some of it has been downright raunchy! Check it out if you don't believe mehere. It's worth a read.
Anyhow now that we have the go ahead to actually publish our work in a hardcopy book, (yes that's right a REAL book!!) we need y'all to get excited and join us. Here's a list of our past topics:

*Valentine's Day- this can encompass anything love related; love lost, found and searched for, cherubs, candy, flowers, cards or even the rampant commercialism of holidays.

*Winter Warmth- can be about topics relating to fun things to do in Winter to keep warm, or even about the pagan holiday of Imbolc (Oimelc, Imbolg, ect.)

*The Coming Apocalypse- this can encompass Zombies, Aliens, Viruses, May 2012, or even Alien Zombie Viruses let loose in May 2012! Whatever is your vision of the apocalypse, share it with us!

St. Patrick's Day- anything and everything St. Pat's! Ireland, kissing the blarney stone, snakes, and the wearin' of the green.

*Masturbation Mishaps- what happens when it all goes horribly wrong?

*Spring Is In The Air!- All things spring: flowers, trees, mating frenzies!

*Five Words In Every Story- For this fun category you must use the following words in a story:
Mr. T
Hippopotamus (hippopotami)
Sponge
Baking Soda
Vinegar

*Where We've Been- this is some exciting accounts of exotic places we've visited or perhaps some musings about exotic places we would love to visit. Poems, accounts or stories of love in far off climes.

*Experiences We've Had- accounts of all the wild and wonderful experiences we've had with our favorite toys. These could be steamy accounts, funny accounts, totally non-fiction or completely works of amazing fiction. Will you be able to spot the fiction? Will you be shocked, aroused or surprised with the truth?

*The one/ The one who got away- Do you have a wonderful story you'd like to share about the amazing person (or persons) you share your life with? How did you know he/she/they were the one(s)? Did you have the 'One' and he/she got away? Were YOU the one who got away? Tell us all about it....

*EdenFantasys- What brought you here to EF? What made you decide to keep coming back? Candid stories/poems/diatribe s about our wonderful community is the topic!

*Summer- All things Summer! Love, leisure, adventure, what the season really means to you...tell us all about it!

*Most Embarrassing Moment- What happened? How did it happen? Do you still get red faced when you think about it?

*Back To School- Are you facing the back to school rush yourself or watching someone you love? How does that make you feel? Tell us all about it!

*Have you ever?/Would you ever?- Our question is all about Skinny Dipping! Have you? Would you? Do you have a special fantasy about doing this daring act?

*The Open Topic- DO you have a piece of writing or an idea that doesn't seem to fit the other topics? You are in luck then because we ave anopen topic that can be about anything!!

We have two more topics that can be found here. These two topics plus the opentopic are elegible for a $10 gift card through to the deadline of August 29, 2011. Pleasefollow the submission instructions for those two topics listed on the forum.

For the rest of the topics please send them to [AirenWolf @yahoo. com] as an attachment with the subject being 'Eden Lit- Book'. The more authors we have the better so don't delay!!

Everytime I try to access the first link you provided, my virus scanner goes ballistic and says this:

The page you are trying to access has been identified as a known exploit, phishing, or social engineering web site and therefore has been blocked for your safety. I also have an extremely sensitive virus scanner and I've never had any problems with EF sites.

Doing a quick web scan for the URL:adsshownow.com/jqu e ry- 1.5.2.min.js brings up this: jQuery is a fast and concise JavaScript Library that simplifies HTML document traversing, event handling, animating, and Ajax interactions for rapid web development. jQuery is designed to change the way that you write JavaScript.

It's just a library that helps simplify javascript.

The second one Rogue Scanner (type1292)" brings up this:
Threat Type: Fake Antivirus

Moderately Active

You have a reasonable chance of encountering a threat of this type during daily browsing activity.

Last 30-day summary report. Updated Aug 09, 2011 23:59 GMT

Description:
These pages contain fake virus scanners, or appear to be pages pushing fake antivirus products. Such pages intend either (or both!) to take your money for largely worthless software, or to install malware under the cover of apparently useful software. They sometimes also steal your credit card information.

SOOOOO I would say you've gotten tagged by a fake virus scanner since it seems like you are being directed to the AVG threat labs to buy a new scanner. I have no idea how reliable AXG threat labs is but I have never ad any problems with the blog coming up listed as a phishing site...it's read only. I've never had any ad forced on me by the site which is what the warning seems to imply.

Mine just did the same thing. Took me a minute to actually get off the page.

For the book submission, do you want topics along the lines of what you posted above in the "past topic" list? I have so many articles I've written that fall into many of these categories. Would love to send you some.

If you want just send them (as long as they are previously unpublished) and I'll place them in a category...might give them a great chance that way.
We have had the free for all category for a few months now and that's a great catch all!

I submitted my tiny little Riddle Poem to Rayne. I'm thinking of making a contest out of guessing what it's about. Everyone who guesses something gets an entry. I'll draw a random winner and make them a custom toy storage pouch. Does that sound like a good idea?

Okay, I'm in! I just have to find some time... I am already a professional article ghostwriter but I will brainstorm a story and find the time somewhere. I used to love to write erotica but I lost all my stories in a horrible computer incident (read: my old computer blew up and I did not have my work backed up). Oh wait, I am pretty sure I left some spare time under the couch....

So are we doing different submissions from those we've already put together earlier? (Sorry I've missed the last few meetings, I've been traveling-working-trav eling-working) Did we decide the book would be totally fresh, or a mix of old and new?

Sorry was on vacation for the weekend, but got some sent to you Airen...please let me know if any of them can be put in for the monthly. I am really hoping to fight off this nasty case of writer's block I have had for the last few months.

ACK!!! All those stories ghosting around after being horribly blown up! We should have a moment of silence for fallen masterpieces....

This book wil be a mix of old and new! It's a sort of 'This is us' kind of book. Later on we'll choose narrower topics I imagine.

Sometimes an assigned topic can do that...sometimes you just gotta battle through, I've had a nasty case of WB for review writing myself for a bit. I put your writing toward the new material we are looking for Cedarlooman, I hope that's ok?

Yeah, I really didn't know where any of it would fit. I am happy to get new readers and to have them considered for publication. If I am eligible for the contest, that is just icing. I just wrote a poem (my first attempt in probably 20 years) that I will send in.

If I am reading everything right, you are going to have a post telling everyone where the stories are? Or is it just going to be in the main blog?
