Haha yes! I know I've seen a paddle. And after some searching, I found it! link

I vote for the party to occur after Labor Day. Much fewer people will be away on vacation and I suspect parents/students would be interested in blowing off steam after the first week of school.
I have no objections to that. Labor Day ends up being the first weekend, so any time that week, or even the next week, works for me.

So, now that we've decided to have a party for Labor Day and back to school and all that, who has ideas for it? When would you want it to happen? Specific trivia or other things you'd like to see?
Around the end of August? About the 25th or so?

School girls for sure. I'm NOT posing for this go-round, I don't think....

We could connect this party with Eden Gives Back and do a points drive for donating school supplies.

I'm sure there is plenty of teacher/student-themed porn out there too.

That's a really good idea, BBWTT (that part about donating).

I like the idea about donating for school supplies. My wife was a teacher and was always buying so many extra supplies for kids.

I'm not sure I'll be posing either, lol.

As for a points drive for donating school supplies, even if the party happens later on in September, that's still a good idea, and I'd love to see it get pulled off.

Absolutely, that's a common thing I think.

I'll host it. Maybe different people can host a drive? We can do it somewhat like the family adoption thing and have a blog post?

I think we should skip a video this time, unless someone else has divine inspiration.

I agree, there are so many good back to school deals where you can get supplies for nearly free.

We can absolutely host a drive too. A points drive would work well if there were one centralized organization that would help teachers everywhere. And a regular drive can be done all through August; we can do it the same way we did the clothing drive with the blog posts.

I agree. Anyway, I think saving up energy for the Halloween party would be the best use of a video.

I'm SO sorry I missed the meeting! Ack! I was stuck in traffic! I'm skipping to the end of the thread so I can try to catch up!

So, our next holiday party will be for Labor Day/going back to school. We need to pick a date, if we want trivia and what kind we want, and also discuss the possibility of prizes.

For anybody who would like to discuss donating school supplies in further detail, there is an Eden Gives Back meeting tomorrow at 7 that everybody is welcome to attend. We can start working out details there.

Is there anything else that anybody would like to bring up for this meeting and the Labor Day party?

Oooooo Labor Day party. I'm guessing for any non-American contributors it would be the "Going Back to School" party. But what if they're not American and not students/parents' of students? (Sorry if this was already addressed. I know I got here late. Bad, DJ! Bad!)

If we want to support a national program, I think UNICEF has a program. I'm not positive and would have to Google it to be sure. But I'm sure there are other national programs to support kids with school supplies.

If you can find the information, go ahead and send it to me. I'll try to recruit you to host it, but at the very least it'll be good information to have on hand
