Airen Wolf has published an amazing 402 reviews!!! A huge round of applause goes out to you for sticking with us through thick and thin!
You can read her 400th review here: Leather and glass, Mama is very happy!
To celebrate the occasion, she took a moment and answered a few questions for us and you’ll find those below.
How would you say your reviews are different today than when you first started with the site?
When I first started my reviews were bubbly, perky, chirpy and almost totally useless! I had enthusiasm but my readers left wondering basic things like, "Did the thing really work?" With lots of help from some pretty amazing people I finally got my reviews down to something that sounds more like me when I am talking to a friend about a toy, or lingerie.
What was your favorite review to write; why?
My favorite is the review for the Ghost. The pics came out so very well and I really love the creepy little guy.
What was your least favorite review to write; why?
My least favorite review to write was a recent one, the review for Vertical Striped Tights. They were great tights and fit fairly well...and I really didn't have much more to say! I drew a blank and for the first time I just shook my head and hit enter. Not my best review at all.
Is there a reviewing style (or reviewer in particular) you admire; why?
I admire Dame Demi's review style and I have patterned my reviews off hers since I started here. Seriously, she wrote some amazing stuff.
Did you have mentor, who was it? Additionally, are you currently a mentor; what do you love about it?
I did not have a mentor but I did get help from several contributors including CarrieAnn, Dame Demi, and while she wasn't a contributor Victoria helped me immensely.
Is there a particular brand you favor more than others; why?
I know it's not real popular to admit but I have a real soft spot for Doc Johnson products. My first toys were DJ and I love the way that the company listens to their customers. When we asked for better materials they stepped up and when we asked for packaging that was less like a porno we got beautiful packaging that could serve as a storage item. Honestly? How can you not be impressed by that?
I also have a massive lady boner for SSA Glass! I love the colors, textures, unique shapes and feel of their glass toys. I am going to display them when I get a lighted curio appropriate for it!
If you could go back and rewrite a review, which one would it be?
I would go back and write most of my first reviews, talk about not being as useful as they could have been! Then again they show how far I have come, so I dunno I think I'll leave them alone!
How long have you been writing reviews for Eden and how did you become interested in reviewing?
My first review was accepted and posted way back on November 8, 2008! I was looking over the site and realized that the toy I had just purchased was there on the site. I read about the review program and decided that I wanted to talk about how great the toy was. I was completely allergic to the jelly material and didn't know it. The rabbit didn't quite fit my body but I did love the darn thing because it was the first toy I had picked out for myself.
After learning that jelly can cause the burning sensation that I always got from the darn thing I retired him but I still have pictures!
Is there a toy you've been itching to review; what is it?
I have been jonesing to try the Jopen Intensity but I never seem to save up enough money. I love me some electrostim play and this also helps to tighten up PC muscles. Given that weak PC muscles and bladder leakage runs in my family I have a real interest. Eventually I hope to purchase and review that product for myself.
What do you think your greatest Eden-related accomplishment (outside of hitting the milestone itself) is?
My greatest accomplishment has been the three years I have run the Eden Lit club. It started out with such big plans and has matured into a really great place to discuss writing, and literature. The range of talent we have here at EdenFantasys is truly amazing and humbling. I look forward to the next three years!
