Thank you! To a large degree I'm at the mercy of what comes into my inbox, but I try to have a range, especially in a bondage collection, of scenarios/settings, people doing the bondage/being bound, types of bondage and types of bondage tools. I ... more
I really liked having more toys in that book, especially within strap-ons.

I really liked having more toys in that book, especially within strap-ons. The concept is a turn on for me whether it's used on males or females. It's actually the only thing that would really motivate me in having a girl-girl action by trying to please a girl knowing that I got a great collection of dilgos to satisfy.

Here's a question; if you have a thing for femme dommes but don't care for male submission, how about stpries where both parties are female? For instance, D.L. King's anthology "The Harder She Comes" (butch/femme erotica) has just come out, and there's always lots of bdsm in D.L.s books. Maybe you could give that sort of thing a try. There's something to be said for knowing just how both sets of sexy bits feel.

Thanks for sharing, it really is interesting to see what's their inspiration. Not something that you often come up with out of nowhere.
I wholeheartedly concur. Personally, I've been going through quite a bout of writer's block - especially as it pertains to erotica but hearing about other people's inspiration and discussing the stories, etc, has me reinvigorated to write again and possibly even a bit inspired (one can only hope).

Hm, that actually sounds like a pretty decent idea! I found from Take Me There that I'm much more able to look past genitalia if there's good kink goin' on!

Same here, as long as there's horny&sexy, it does not matter who's doing what.

(aw my kitty is so adorable, I'm sitting on the couch with my legs up on an ottoman and the laptop on my lap, and instead of plunking herself on my trackpad the way she usually does, she just curled up in the crook of my arm with her forepaws spread out along my right arm.

And now she's snoring.

Kitty, so adorable... and then you snore. )

True. I'm currently reading a book series called The Black Jewels Trilogy, which revolves around D/s and subservience - male submission, to be exact. But in a way, men have power in their submission to women, so it's an interesting read. So far, there has not been any woman/woman relationships, but there have been man/man and man/woman.

And more possibilities for female-on-female domination: Sinclair Sexsmith's lesbian BDSM anthology Say Please comes out soon.

I used to be a member of a women's BDSM group in Boston--well, I still am, but at a distance--and trust me, there are women, butch or femme, whose talents at domination are second to none.

Oh, I'm well aware and do enjoy f/f bdsm erotica quite a bit. I'll have to check out the author you mentioned earlier, as I'm not familiar.

I love my cat, she's always sitting/sleeping close by, but she'll never try to get on me, and I never get bothered. I know it's cute, but I don't like having a cat on me when I'm not into it. She is a retiree from a breeding program, and is not used to asking for attention, but she'll take every petting I have.

Ha! And women don't have just as much power in their submission to men, in terms of heterosexual relationships?

More insights into the writing process, this time from Craig Sorenson:

Craig Sorenson’s thoughts about "Beyond Redemption":

When I write a story, many things can inspire me. I've worked from very well-formed plots with strongly defined characters and outlines. I've worked from very complete characters that shape the story line as they go through the experience. On the other end of the spectrum, I've worked from single ideas, sounds, words or visions, and just let the stories breathe on their own.

For "Beyond Redemption," the opening image, a crucifix gently swaying, suspended by a finial in the center of headboard, then a cinematic pan, back to a woman bound to the bedposts, a gag in her mouth, looking up on a man who steadily, purposefully, fuck her, was the sum of inspiration. Dark visual cues, mysterious characters, and I had an initial sense of "what is going on with these two?" The meaning of the religious symbolism, and how that was reflected in the actions that unfold in the story, grew in my mind as if I was hearing the story as much as writing it. Later, I was reminded of musicians who say that an idea sometimes hits them, and they feel like they are just trying to keep up with the song as it unfolds. "Beyond Redemption" was like this, and I was kind of winded after the first draft.

I tend to be heavy-handed with revisions, and "Beyond Redemption" was no exception, but the revisions in this story tended to be more in the details. The changes between past to present tense, a technique that I sometime like to use to give a sense of immediacy, was a natural part of this story, whereas I usually consciously work these shifts into stories.

A good number of my short stories are written calls for submission; this was not of them. The story sat on my hard drive after the writing, until Rachel Kramer Bussel's call for Best Bondage Erotica 2012 came along. It seemed a good possible home. In truth, I thought the story might be a bit of a stretch for her taste, so I was quite grateful when the story was chosen to be included in this collection.

I love to share a story that came from inside me, and I hope that readers can find the same attraction as they step into the world of these lovers' difficult lives. I hope that they will find themselves drawn in, and in this story, find something worth redemption.

There's something about a man who submits to a much weaker (physically) female that I find intriguing. I know that submission itself has very little to do with the physical stature of the parties involved. It's just that for me, submitting often involves (consensual) physical force, so a dynamic that doesn't leaves me full of all sorts of curiosity and questions.

Women can be mean by nature. And some know better how to use it to their advantage.
