Some anthologies are all reprints, like Maxim Jakubowski's Mammoth Book of Best New Erotica. He pulls stories from a wide variety of authors and publications, so while I expect to see stories I might have read elsewhere, most are new to me. It's such a large collection that it doesn't bother me if 3 or 4 stories are familiar. As long as an anthology is clearly labeled as an all-reprint collection, I'm okay with it.

That IS a shame, because if you really enjoy a genre, you can be missing out on something that is your favorite. I think of albums from musicians I really love...the Greatest Hits often leave out some of my favorite stuff because it didn't happen to be a hit, but was still completely awesome!

I? Am completely greedy and when I find something I love, I go looking for every possible new source of material from the same author I can find.
