Yes, yes! Those are the quickies I'm talking about... the ones where you're supposed to already be on the road to grandma's, but instead you're in the garage bent over the hood of the car...

Oh good! I haven't read it in years, so I'm looking forward to revisiting it!

So what audience is this collection geared towards? Are they all straight encounters, or are there gay and lesbian stories as well? What's the distribution like?

It depends. There's one — the Vague Language of Sex by Michael Hemmingson that's only a page and a half. I occasionally enjoy the jarring experience of having two people get right to it in a story, but the super, super short ones are a little less satisfying.

I'm only about half way through, but there are both straight and lesbian stories so far. I'd say there are more straight encounters so far.

LOVE my nook! Didn't think I would-- I'm an old fashioned girl and like "real" books, but it is SO handy for traveling or hauling around to doctor's appointments or whatever. Plus I can have two or three books going at once-- which I normally do with print books, but I don't want to carry around a stack of books with me!

I really enjoyed The Other Side of sleep, and that couldn't have been more than 2 pages. It was not the most erotic, but definitely was adorable.

*grins* yes...

My favorite still has to be walking into my partner's house, getting bent over the couch without so much as a "hello" and then when he was done... and put me back in order... said "Hi, lets go get some ice cream!"

It's been a while since I read this, but there were some good stories in it. Some meh ones as well. A paragraph does not make arousing reading for me . One I really did like in this one was "The Rider", about the Pony Express rider. That one worked really well. Other than that one, the kinkier ones were also pretty good .

Oooh, a sequel! I am dying to read it. I'm not all the way through Carrie's Story yet, but it's a definite wow.

What was you least favorite short story? And why do you feel that way?
I really didn't enjoy A Quick Dip very much. I think for me it was a case of just not really being able to relate to the characters. I am still only about halfway into the book though.

Usually is. We have a tradition of "christening" every car we've ever owned. And even some we haven't. LOL! But Yes! Car sex really can be the best.

After reading what Kristina wrote about being bent over the hood...I now want a garage!!!

And yeah... um, I like sex. Before kids, it was all I wanted to do
LOL... I've been married almost 21 years and we just had our first kid in 2009 and I'm prego with #2 now. Even in our peak years, I don't think we managed 4 times a day! I do remember the first day of our marriage we *didn't* have sex and wondering if that was the end of our sex life-- we'd been married nearly 3 years at that point.

BTW because I just remembered... are we gonna get that Fairy Tale Lust sequel sometime in the future? (because I totally wanna submit a story...)

This sounds like me! Only I have not yet gotten a reader... so far I am making due with the Kindle, iBooks and eReader apps on my iPhone. I'm definitely wanting something bigger (tho I am thinking iPad instead of Kindle or Nook).

I have the same problem when I read a book. If i can't really seem to relate to the character, it is really hard for me to read it. most of the time I read faster just to see if it gets any better. which is sad

I kept going back and forth about which one to get too. It finally came down to price, and the fact that the Kindle has no computer glare.

I had a voracious sexual appetite, I'm sure there were days when I hit 6 or 7. I had a job from home though, so I had a lot of time on my hands.
