Good, lesbian porn with plot?

ElleBee ElleBee
I am looking for some and I can't really find any that fits both criteria. I've watched some of the Crash Pad series, but that doesn't exactly have 'plot' so much as 'a reason why people are having sex'. You know? It also doesn't have to be alt porn, but I did like that Crash Pad was very body image friendly and had all sorts of ladies.

But really, I just really want some plot!

I haven't found any, either. Any type of gay, lesbian, bi porn of quality is very hard to find. So hard to find that I have seriously considered writing scripts and pitching them to producers and directors. It's ridiculous the lack of MMF threesomes where the guys participate with each other, instead of just sharing the woman in the scene.

You should pitch some ideas! I'd love if there was more good, lesbian porn on the market. I've watched a few short lesbian porns with Faye Regan in them, and they were alright. Her pinup girl, vintage porn was pretty delightful. But it didn't really have quite enough plot leading up to the getting it on. :-P

I have a biased attitude toward plot driven porn in the first place. The acting is almost always atrocious and the lines are sometimes completely unforgivable. If I were a director in porn, I would require everyone on set to have had acting lessons. Hahaha

Yes! Oh, my gosh. Yes. It blows my mind just how bad an actress some porn stars can be. I love porn with plot, but it is hard to get over the bad acting. I used to watch scenes from The L Word and think they were hotter than a lot of porn, just because there was such build up.

Right, you need the tension for it to be believable or to be able to place yourself in the situation. However, since most pornography is geared toward men, regardless of the genre, production companies don't seem to give a RCH whatsoever. I know Nina Hartley has produced a rather large collection of films to choose from, maybe you should head in that direction? I don't think you'll find them here, but I could be wrong. I've just about all but given up on that aspect. I'm just as happy searching the tube sites and making my own collection of discs off of that stuff. I just reviewed a DVD that I thought was going to be amazing and it was the most boring thing I've ever seen. Evidently, one of the crew felt the same because he was in the other room watching a baseball game or something. You could see the tv through the sheer panel they used as a curtain. DETAILS, people! DETAILS!

Yeah, I'd heard about Nina Hartley, but its been hard to find anything by her. I'll have to do some research. I was really excited initially about the Crash Pad series and anything by Shine Louise Houston, but the plot is still not really there. I don't really want to just watch some random girls I don't care about having sex. I have to really believe the situation or it just doesn't do anything for me. And tension is soooo good.

Aw! I'm sorry the one you purchased wasn't as great as you thought it would be. I bet reviewing porn though is sort of fun, particularly if you do have an eye for detail! I can't believe they didn't notice that. How terrible!

Yeah, I've watched a few things on tube sites. The Faye Reagan porn was on some tube site and it was pretty good. It was based in the 1950s or so and these two girls fooling around for the first time in gorgeous, vintage lingerie.

I've often seriously wondered just how batshit insane this nation would go if we put hardcore, graphic sex scenes in mainstream movies. At least then no one could bitch about the acting. I suppose husbands and wives of the actors would take offense. What a pity.

I like vintage porn, too. It somehow seems way hotter considering how much of it was taboo back in the day. Or so we're led to believe. Still fifty-fifty on that one.

Reviewing porn can be a lot of fun. It's something my husband and I were doing long before there was a place to put down our thoughts. We constantly critique the scenes. Out of the hundreds of thousands of images and videos we've seen, we remember few and prefer even less than that for arousal purposes.

That would be pretty amazing. I can actually recall several films or television shows where the sex scenes were absolutely perfect and totally erotic. For instance, I remember watching the scene in Cold Mountain and thinking it was so beautiful. It turned me on way more than most porn does. I like a little romance or , like you mentioned, something a bit taboo. A forbidden romance.

Yes! That's one of my favorite things about vintage based porn. I love the secrecy of it, the whispering and the uncertainty. Its exciting.

That's spectacular. I've seen some really bad porn in my life (Twilight porn, anyone?), and talking about it and critiquing it is one of the best parts.

I haven't seen Cold Mountain, but I can think of several sex scenes I could probably compare it to in other films. Then again, this is coming from someone who owns copies of In the Realm of the Senses, Caligula and Irreverisble.

I really love the vintage photography, the black and white or sepia images from those times. I also get a huge kick whenever an archaeologist finds a stone or wooden dildo from ancient times.

I haven't seen the ones you listed, but I tried to find the scenes from Caligula, and could only find the edited versions of the film!

Me, too! Oh, so much. I have a Livejournal account and have joined several communities online there that post vintage porn. Its spectacular.

Yeah, good ol' LJ, if you can get over the DDOS attacks...I used to be quite active there, but it seems everyone is moving to Dreamwidth.

Caligula is a really interesting film. I bought my copy, and the others listed, from Amazon about six years ago. It's a little whacked out, but we're talking about one of the most perverted (and slightly sadistic) emperors in all of Rome's history. The opening scene shows Caligula and his sister running through the forest and then falling into each other's arms. They repeatedly engage in sexual intercourse throughout the story, there's also a really good oral sex scene with two of the female servants and a huge orgy at the end. Not to mention two of Hollywood's heaviest hitters at the time--- Peter O'Toole and Malcolm McDowell. I can't imagine Youtube allowing the videos in the first place, mainly for copyright reasons.

In the Realm of the Senses is a bit more difficult to watch. It's in Japanese, subtitled in English and it too is based on a true story. It's heavy on the master/servant relationship and there is a very graphic castration scene at the end.

Irreversible was purchased as a dare to myself. I had heard the film had been banned in the United States and people walked out of it at Cannes. There is a graphic anal rape scene that lasts for almost ten minutes and the story line is in reverse, much like Momento. It's in French, subtitled in English.

I haven't updated mine in ages-- though I probably should. I do sort of miss it. And yes, Dreamwidth has gotten way more popular. I just hate to switch over. I have about five years worth of writing on LJ. You're right though, the DDOS is awful!

When I think of Caligula, I instantly recall my mother telling me I was never allowed to watch it. I think I was a teenager when she told me, but I was always really curious because it was one of my grandfather's favorite films. And I love Peter O'Toole and Malcolm McDowell! I obviously just need to get my hands on the DVD.

The other two sound very interesting! I don't know if I could sit through a castration scene though. Irreversible sounds racy, too. Do you think it was really as bad as everyone made it out to be? A ten minute anal rape scene does sound pretty upsetting.

Have you ever seen the movie The Dreamers with Eva Green? Its about this brother and sister who meet up with this boy at a riot and have lots of sex with him and each other. Its pretty intense.

Wow, it was your grandfather's favorite movie? I wonder which version he had, I mean the anal fisting scene alone is pretty intense. Then again, I guess he could have just liked the idea behind Caligula's madness. Very patriarchal.

*I* personally don't think the rape scene was all that terrible, but the things he does to her while he's raping her bothered me much, much more. And I think seeing the end of the film in the beginning really changes the intensity of the scene. I think if it were shown beginning to end, I never would have made it through. For instance, in Monster with Charlize Theron...I literally threw up during the scene where she's raped in the car in the woods. And I immediately shut Precious off after the scene with her father...

No, I haven't seen that movie, but it sounds like something I would enjoy. I'll have to see if I can find a copy of it for sale. Thanks for the rec!

Hah. Yeah. I don't know why it was his favorite, but I know that he loved it. I'm actually guessing he had the uncut version. He was a pretty interesting fellow. He wasn't much bothered by sex and wasn't nearly as prudish as my mother's side of the family. I remember being thirteen or so and there was some scene in a movie where a girl was topless. I got all embarrassed and uncomfortable and he said: 'What's the big deal? You already know what they look like.'

Oh, goodness. That scene in Monster is so heartbreaking and it really does turn your stomach. I watched a 'behind the scenes' clip of Theron walking away from the car after they called cut. She was sobbing and the director went over and helped pick her up off the ground where she'd sort of stumbled after her legs buckled. I can't imagine having to film that scene.

Dreamers is amazing! I absolutely love it. Eva Green is gorgeous and a really great actress. There is a part in the movie when she leans over some candles and her hair apparently actually started to catch fire in the scene, but she quickly put it out and went right on acting-- so they put it in the film! Its also a super sexy film and is really neatly filmed. If you watch it and end up liking it, you should read this book called The Cement Garden, by Ian McEwan -- link

It deals with some of the same issues. But don't get me started on how both Dreamers and The Cement Garden deal with social constructs and the breaking down of social rules over time. :-P

i honestly don't like porn with plots. the acting is always ridiculous and half the time makes no sense. i would much rather just watch the two girls immediately start playing with each others bodies.
