For me, personally, I don't see the point of Copy/Pasting the ingredient list on the site's page. If you're going to list, list straight from the bottle. If it's the same as the product page, I personally think it's better to just provide a link to the product page with a statement that says, "ingredients listed are the same as the product page, you can find that information here." (<-- Just used that as a link, I didn't review that, nor read any of the reviews on it.) But that's MY personal preference to do or to see. Everyone has their own way of doing reviews and I try not to harp on it too much. If it's a student, that's one thing, for others' I try to lay off.

A good review should leave no question unanswered, no stone unturned.

As far as "well-thought-out " comments... well, my opinion won't probably win me any popularity contests around here, but frankly I think people care too damn much about the comments. If it's a good review, what more needs to be said? Some people may not have anything of note to say! I mean, not everyone can be witty and engaging about everything they read. If ALL anyone has to say is, "Nice review, you helped me decide on this;" pat yourself on the motherfucking back! You did your job as a reviewer!

Here's the thing, all the comments help your rank, which is why people want comments. The system doesn't take into consideration how long it was, who made the comment, or whether it said anything other than "Good Review." It just takes in quantity. (I don't really give a shit about my rank anymore, but...) I'll take 20 "Good Reviews" over 1 lengthy comment. Some people don't feel this way, and they're entitled to feel that way, but griping about it doesn't fix it. You have to engage others if you want them to engage you... want more comments? Read and comment on more reviews!

Hi BBW,
I misses you and Flicks a whole bunch!

My question is what do you like to see in reviews? Do you like pics, comparisons, or even just a witty review? What makes you think, " This is definitely an EU review" ?

What is your favorite movie?

and Also,

If you could pick any trip to go on what would it be and why?

Sorry for so many questions.

I feel the same way about the "Following" comment on my wall. Am I going to respond or follow everyone back? No. But I don't see the big deal about someone writing/typing, "Following."

Regarding Reviews:

I like people to have and use their own voice. The harder you try at one type of review or the other, the harder it is to read.

What engages me most is: correct spelling and correct grammar. (I'm a geek, what can I say?)

Like I said before, a useful review should leave no question unanswered, no stone uncovered. An extremely useful review kept me engaged throughout. It either made me laugh or someone went the extra mile (the extra mile varies based on review, type of toy, etc). Or, if the written is just "eh," but the video is AWESOME, I'll bump it up.

I love comparisons because I like seeing how an item will vary from something else. Especially if one of them is something I own, then I have a good point of reference. Of course, that will hardly ever be the case, but it still helps. I also enjoy it when reviewers compare to everyday items. I don't know how big your hands are, but I know how big a hairspray bottle is, or a pencil (please, only compare height in pencils, otherwise it looks ridiculous... especially width or girth. I mean, really?), or an 8x10 picture frame. Non-standard measurement rocks!

I like pictures, so long as it's not blurry to the point where I can't make out the toy. A little fuzzy is one thing, indistinguishable is another. Number of pictures depends on what the point is. I did a review of the Hitachi Axis and I used a LOT of pictures, but I was demonstrating ways in which you could use the pillow. And yes, I took all those pictures myself. Don't ask me how.

As far as witty reviews? I love them, as long as you're a good communicator. Sometimes sarcasm doesn't translate well to writing. If you can't translate your humor to text, it can be hard to read. This is what I mean about staying true to your writing voice.

Other questions

Favorite movie is Pulp Fiction. Hands down. Makes me laugh. Makes me uncomfortable. Makes me think. Isn't boring at any point. Tarantino and Samuel L. Jackson are just amazing.

ANY trip? There are so many... But if I could only go one place, ever, and it be the "trip of a lifetime," it would be... a cruise around the world with ports of call in Cuba, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Fiji, Japan, Greece, Morocco, Australia, and pretty much every awesome place in the world.

I, too, miss Flicks. However, considering I've taken on huge responsibilities in my derby league, it's really worked out for the best that we don't have the club anymore. Our season is over in June, and I'm thinking that I might just have to host a movie night or two during the summer.

Hi,

What you recommend for a first toy? I am finally at a point where I am taking my pleasure back into my own hands.

Congratulations! That's always an important first step.

I would start with something that is versatile. A traditional vibrator, made with a body-safe material like silicone or plastic can be used to stimulate multiple parts of your body. You can use it on your clit and you can penetrate yourself with it.

Something like the Shimmers Bliss, or Delight, or Tryst. These should all be decent choices at an affordable cost.

Just remember, if you choose to use any of these anally to cover the plastic ones with condoms, so you can remove it before putting it your vagina. Or sterilize your silicone toys with a 10% bleach solution before switching from anal to vaginal play. Don't want any of those germies to give you an infection!

When you're sad or feeling like you're overwhelmed and you just can't take anything else at that moment, what do you do? Is there a special place you go, a passage you read...?

So I don't think I need to guess what one of your favorite shows is, do I?

Soooo freakin' ready for the finale, damn it! They are taking forever!!

Are you still doing the roller derby thing?

Sorry, hard to resist the HIMYM reference.

I get myself around people who will distract me and who remind me that I'm loved and awesome. It's a rebuilding year as far as trustworthy friends I can confide in, so I generally just distract myself. Being a part of my roller derby team has helped me tremendously with this because, even though I'm not skating, we really are a team and it helps me to know that they'll make me smile when I'm feeling a bit crappy.

I'm not skating anymore. I was injured twice in 8 weeks. One was a valid skating injury, the other was sheer clumsiness combined with a fucking lego.

Now that I'm planning on being in school full time and being a wife and mother and, oh-i-don't-know a PERSON, I really won't have the time that being a skater demands, but I'm still very involved with my team. I'm a non-skating official when they need me, but mostly, I help our production lead and organize all our volunteers for events and any other miscellaneous duties that entails. A lot of work and a lot of responsibility, but still less of a time commitment than skating!

Oh, you know I never know whether to say congrats or ooh sorry in these situations. Does the English language have a word that combines both? Other than bittersweet, that is. It's just funny how things work out.

My girls like cartoons and crayons.

And I have a lot of favorite shows. I LOVE Big Bang Theory. This is my FB cover picture (it's also my favorite episode)

My all-time ever favorite show is Buffy. I'm a Whedonite through and through. Even Dollhouse. And yes, I will be watching both, Cabin in the Woods and The Avengers. If for no other reason than his name is on them.

I also like Glee, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Bones and lots of other shows. But don't think I sit around watching them. I watch everything online, so I pick a day and catch up. Life's too busy to sit in front of the TV (or even computer... which is why I'm not around so much these days).

No, it sucks that I was injured but really, I'm relieved. I love the sport, but playing is not my thing. Especially at the level that my team is at. Maybe someday (I've yet to sell my gear), but as of right now it's just not part of my goals anymore. Not to mention, one of my good friends broke her leg in three places, I have another friend that over a year later is still dealing with the effects of a concussion, and add that to the copious bruising and injured ribs and shoulders, I'm really OK not skating.

LOL OK, how about this, what functions would you like it to have. For example; I would love to have a dildo that would do the "Come here" motion and look/feel like a finger.

I just needed you to get me started... (yeah, yeah, that's what she said)

Oh, yeah, that would be nice. I wouldn't want it to vibrate though. I'm not big on internal vibrations. But it wouldn't necessarily look like a finger (or three), it would probably be shaped like my pure wand and heavy like that, but still would move. So I'd want it to be steel or something, but then coated in a nice, buttery silicone so that it would be able to be sterilized.

So yeah. That. Thanks for the idea.

ha! I envision something like a robot finger, Pure Wand shaped (love that idea) covered with O2 or something. Love it BBW, great minds and all.

I feel like the O2 silicone is just a little too sticky. I have the Flurry and love it, but it's just a little too sticky. I love the Je Joue silicone. Super smooth.
