Tim, that's beautiful! What amazing work. I will definitely wave to you haha

P'Gell, I am actually in turmoil right now with regard to my education. I'm considering dropping the social work portion of my program and just getting my MEd in Human Sexuality. My reasoning for this is that I originally started out wanting to be a clinician (the MSW would enable me to do counseling), but I've found myself much more drawn towards exactly what you mentioned...teaching! I would love to be a college professor. It's also a dream of mine to get another human sexuality program started up elsewhere in the country. The school I currently attend is the only one.

So...I'd be happy to teach high school, middle school, and elementary school kids about sexuality, but I think I'm more suited to working with college and graduate students. I think I might like to eventually do some clinical work, at which point I'll probably return to school and get my doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy or something else. Maybe by that time there will be other options for me in the realm of sexuality-related doctoral degrees! One can hope

I swear I thought you had a Tex. My bad.

1 1/2 hours is a luxury I currently can't afford. Also, living with your parents isn't conducive to long play times.

Thanks Tim for answering!

Oh. Thought it was granite or a natural stone. Interesting material though. No more projects with extra materials?

Funny, that's the reason it takes so long to warm up to it. At best I get one day a week with that much free time. Back before my new schedule I had three or four days with four or five hours to fool around so I was able to work my way up to the 2 1/4" mark pretty quick. Back them I could take the 2" end of the Eleven with no warm up!

Ah well, life goes on.

ToyTimeTim, it seems that you are a dog person like me Do you have any favorite breeds? Are there any kinds of dogs that you would like to own but haven't had yet?

I grew up with black labs and I cannot WAIT to have another one someday. I love lots of other breeds (and mutts, of course), but I only have a few must-haves in my life! One of my other musts is a greyhound. I've been dreaming about rescuing a retired racing greyhound since I was little. Someday! Other than that...I'll take in any ol' doggie that's thrown my way, LOL. They're my big weakness...aside from books!

Ya, love my dogs for sure! I love the Labs and Dobermans (That's why I got the Min Pin) but my dream dog is a pure black Great dane. We Took care of one while a friend was in the hospital and fell in love with Dragon, he was Marmaduke to a T. Honestly we will have one soon since we have the room for him as well as seven acres so he can have plenty of room to run. I want a full size Doberman too, cropped tail but not the ears as they look so much better with full ears.

But like you I am happy with any dog as long as they are good with the kids. Our oldest Zoe is THE best dog I have ever owned and she is my mutt for sure. I will truly be sad when she is gone, I fear that day is coming soon.

We have a black lab! She was a rescue. Our middle daughter worked at a vet's office and the police brought this black lab puppy in. She was dehydrated, had a kidney infection and was undernourished. Our dd came home crying, to her daddy, that if someone didn't take they'd send her to County and then they would give her a week and then put her down. My husband had had a few beers, so he walked over to the office, saw her, he came home in tears. The next day he came home with puppy toys that I knew were not for our male Malamute and in a few days, she had her Forever Home with us!

She and the Malamute are married. Well, that's what our little one said, when she found the Mal and the lab mating in the yard. The Malamute was fixed and the Lab went into heat months before we thought she was ready. It surprised us. He was able to... try. But, he was shooting blanks, so no worries. So, they are "married" according to our kids.

We've had a chocolate lab, Jack Russel mix before and we LOVE labs, too.

Our lab is healthy and hearty. She weighs as much as the Malamute and is one sturdy dog. (We had her fixed as soon as that "surprise heat" was over, too.)

I hope you get a Lab soon. There are so many abandoned or just put out in the street like ours was.

Awww, that's a great story. It's always encouraging to remember that, although there are so many people who treat animals like worthless objects, there are people like all of us who rescue and rehab them and try to undo some of the damage.

All of my animals have come from rescues or have been rescued from crappy situations firsthand. My ball python, Jinx, came from a pet store, which I would NEVER normally condone...(I'm really into snakes and would like to breed them someday, so I'm big on getting them from reputable breeders or rescues, just like with dogs.) But poor Jinx was skin and bones and he was completely dehydrated. Stupid pet store. They were feeding him pinky mice when he should have been eating young rats (which are larger, obviously, but also higher in fat.) It's sickening that even pet stores don't know how to properly maintain their animals...
