Good idea. I can be impatient when I write for school or for SexIs. The next day I read my stuff again and think about what I could have added or changed.

Let's talk apostrophes and possession. To make something possessive, if it is a singular noun, regardless of what the ending letter is, use 's. The man's pen. The woman's book. Jonas's toy.

Let's look for a second at what I just said at that last part: Jonas's toy. If it is a proper name that ends in s, you use 's. However, if it is an ancient name ending with s, you use s'. Achilles' heel.

If the noun is plural and does not end in s, then add 's to make it possessive. The children's books. The geese's food. If it is a plural that ends in s, then use s'. The dogs' bones. The engineers' charts.

At this point I'm going to pause for a minute for questions before we get into the quiz and point part of the workshop.

I found out that if you save your stuff in pdf form, adobe can read it back outloud to you. It helps me if I hear it read from another person and that has been helping me in my literature classes.

I have 3 or 4 different color note pad sticky notes that stays in my kitchen. for helpful reminders. I think having a little spiral note book would be best for me. Can be kept in one place. Sticky notes I think I'd lose eventually, and end up cluttering around the house. When it comes to my writing skills, I like everything to be in one place.

If it's Biblical or from mythology and the name ends with an s, use s'. If it's anything later, use 's.

usually classical names or biblical names take this form....for instance Isis's temple would be the Temple of Isis
Achilles' heel
Jesus' name
