No, he is saying that you can not code/link in the summaries or the titles.
Thank you everyone for clearing that up for me. I really appreciate it.

I wish I had known about the mentor program before I became advanced.

Is that what you guys would suggest a mentor?
There are actually different levels of reviewers.

Advanced reviewers get free products to review. Regular reviewers don't get free products to review

I'm surprised mentors aren't mandatory for the review program when u start. I realize the mentor program is still rather new, but then everyone would be getting the same help and info about the site no matter what.

How long have you been reviewing?

I think you have to sign up as a reviewer first, but a mentor will help you write your first few reviews and help you navigate the site and community.

You actually have to sign up to be a reviewer before you can become an advanced reviewer. You can become an advanced reviewer by graduating from a Mentor's class.

I never tried, but it is good to know. See how great this is, even us old timers are learning.

Some people legitimately don't need a mentor, and others would rather learn on their own, and it's not fair to force that on them if they don't want it.

Why is that?

As an advanced reviewer you can mentor someone right?

Even advanced reviewers can go through the Mentor program as students, but the mentor doesn't get the gift card for graduating them.

Oh so your a reviewer now? Cool.

I have been thinking about it and was even approach by some EF peeps about it I think since I have a lot of twitter followers I have a kind of a built in audience.
Yes and it's a lot of fun I get to try out things I might not otherwise buy for myself and I like getting to compare what I thought about a product to what other people thought.

I do wish the mentor program had been in place when I joined up. It would have made things much easier

I've been looking forward to this workshop since we brought it up initially, and I'm really excited that I was able to learn something too. I had never tried it before because I didn't see the little "links and formatting" bubble, but now I know it won't work even if I try it, lol

You have to have a minimum rank of 6.0 and submit an application to become a mentor.

Oh that is cool sweetie, you are on a roll. You got your blog up and on your 3rd review and here I am a year or more later still thinking about doing a blog and reviewing.

I would have chosen to go through a mentor prior to becoming advanced had I been aware of it. I could now, but I would feel it would be a waste of my mentors time since there would be nothing in for them (and I don't really NEED it anymore)

From there, the staff looks over your reviews and such, just to make sure you've got things down before taking on students.
