Haha, once I decide to do something, I do it!

Are you reviewing on-site or on a blog? We have different types of reviews for on-site and off-site reviews

Oh yeah those ranks, I have seen those and wonder about them. Thanks for answering me. What the Plus signs with numbers mean?

I'm reviewing on-site. My blog is veeery new, and I'm still working with my mentor to get my reviews up to snuff, which is easier to do on-site. The blog is more for random things like recipes I want to share, and my Eden Lit work.

On the forum threads? That indicates the number of new posts to a thread you have visited before.

I'm in class right now or I'd be here, too, but I'm definitely going to look through this thread when I'm home! Such a great workshop idea.

I have two questions now. And they are totally two different subjects. So sorry in advance. First is how many different review types are there? And second how many of the mentors are available for taking on advanced reviewers being that so many did not know of the program?

There are:

on-site reviews: these are the bulk of what you see on EF. They can either be in extended or standard formats.

Off-site reviews: just that, reviews that are on your own blog. They have to be at least 300 words and have at least 2 or 3 (can't remember off the top of my head) meaningful links back to the site.

Good for you, I just feel that I need to devote more time to job searching and not doing a blog, review etc.. but I do end up on twitter or here.

There are a lot of Mentors that will take on advanced reviewers, I have two right now. Just send them a PM or post on their wall and ask.

It is going to be hard to pick a mentor once I decide to, so many of you are great reviewers, writers and sweeties.

Video reviews are an option to do too.

You still have to write a review to go with the video, but you can get gift cards by doing a video review if there aren't any video reviews on the product you're reviewing.

Thank you all. And this is good to know. I have was curious because of the discussions popping up about the compensation and problems with mentors losing out. I feel I will be constantly enrolling in a class. (Cooking and trying to keep up here is making me a bit crazy and lost)

I'd say pick one who's reviews you relate to. Every mentor has their own style and will be able to help you. I would suggest one that writes in a style you like.

To see if doing a video review for a gift card is a possibility, email Carrie Ann first (carrieann at edenfantasys dot com).

Oh no problem sweetie, I know when I first joined I was lost and shy me didn't ask no one. Like I said I am just now starting to participate in clubs and workshops.

So you are way ahead of me on the smarts department and like they say their is no such thing as a stupid question and how are we to learn if we do no ask. So I am glad you are not shy and are asking.

This is good advice. I guess I need to get to reading more with a different purpose in mind.

Normally I would be pretty shy but when I can "hide" behind my computer it makes it easier for me. Plus I want to do this right from the beginning.
