Would it work the same if you swapped out the sugar for salt?

(mango butter, coconut oil, and the grapeseed oil (which works as a natural preservative so that your scrub doesn't go bad.)

I don't know, I have wondered that myself. I think a lot of salt scrubs use much harsher ingredients though.

Place your pot on the stovetop at a medium heat, or in the microwave on high for

45sec intervals. Heat this mixture until it has completely melted, remove from

element and stir.

Wait until it has partially cooled and add your fragrance or essential oils. ( For my

scrub I have chosen to use a combination of ¾ tablespoon Coconut Fragrance Oil,

12 drops of Grapefruit Essential Oil, and 3 drops of Black Pepper Essential Oil.)
Make sure you stir them in well. Because the mixture is a liquid, it is often difficult

to tell if things have been combined completely so it is always a good idea to stir

often.

Note: Waiting until the mixture has cooled slightly means that your fragrance oil

will not evaporate and lose potency before you have a chance to enjoy your

product.

Yes this is the same image from above, and these would be the oils I used, except

that I used them all up on my candles

Next you will slowly add the liquid mixture to your sugar, stirring as you go. Pour

in about ¼ of the liquid at a time, this will ensure that you are not

melting/dissolving a huge portion of your sugar with the warm oil mixture.

Once you are finished adding the liquid, and stirring the crap outta your sugar, it

should look something like this.

This is the finished product!

How easy was that?

But wait theres more!

Variations! Variations!

Variations:

For facial scrubs some people coose to use brown sugar as it is more finely ground

than traditional white and is therefor easier on the delicate facial tissues.

Additional exfoliants may be added to increase the efficiency. Coffee is a

particularly good additive as caffine has been proven to aid in the prevention and

treatment of cellulite.

I have chosen to add ½ a cup of Dark Roast Coffee, the caffeine in coffee has been

proven to help combat and repair cellulite, and who doesn’t want that? Plus… it

smells GREAT!

Sot this is what my Sugar scrub looks like now…

The first think I thuoght of actually was the start of yellow cake, right before you add in everything but the sugar and the butter. Hmm, sounds a lot like this!

to me it looks like fancy sand.

The coffee that you add is fresh coffee not used coffee grounds? I read that rubbing used cool coffee grounds is good for cellulite/

Yeah what she said us girls love it and leaves your skin feel soft and smooth. Well the good scrub does and if you get one that has a great aroma your bath time is like being in heaven.

You scrub it onto your skin while you bathe or shower, the sugar works as an exfoliant, cleaning out pores and working the dead skin off of your body. The water dissolves the sugar, and you are left with a layer of super rich, moisturizing oils on your skin. They work the same as a layer of moisturizer would, only with out all the added useless crap.
