Sorry to stray from the topic, I just thought it was cool, lol
That sounds awesome! Or, at least awesome since I don't have to deal with it. It's 62 degrees Fahrenheit and clear here. *dances*

Oh! Click install, then you should have the >>Configure option.

I forgot to clarify that the module has to be installed, but it's a snap to install, just one click.

I'm right in that whole snow-pocalypse area near Chicago. It's a neat experience, even worth dealing with possibly 2+ feet of snow, lol

Oppps - maybe cause I just pushed Save - not the other button in the catagory section.

No problem, you can click "Save" or "Save and back to parent category" and both save your work. The second one just takes you back to the parent category, too. I think it's supposed to be convenient for creating lots of categories one after another.

Optional B5. If you want to edit a category, just click on the category's Edit icon, which looks like a pencil:

Extra tidbit: See the green checkmarks on the image above? You can click them to toggle whether a category is displayed or not. This is useful if you're just starting a new category and don't want it to show up all blank and sad on your storefront

Thanks - slowly getting there!
I think I'm past the hard stuff.... setting up the hosting, software and the MySQL database stuff.

I'm enjoying this part.

Ok, we're totally going to get through all the stuff I had planned, so if you have things you'd like me to go over, I can totally do some On The Fly Workshoppin' here.

Ask me about store features, what things you think you'd want to know how to do, like how Shell asked about rearranging categories. I won't have screenshots prepared but I can probably post complete text answers for y'all.

It's fun although I'm still figuring out exactly what I want to put in my store -)) Trial and error to some degree I'm thinking.

You can create additional categories be repeating these steps. If you want to create a category within another category, click on the category's name first, then add a subcategory in that category. For example, if you created the category “Vibrators” and wanted to make a category “Bullet Vibrators,” you would click on “Vibrators,” and then on that page, click “Add a subcategory.”

This concludes the second section of this workshop! Are there any questions before we move onto the last section I have planned? (There is totally time for more EPS awesomesauce afterward)

Is it too soon to ask about subcatagories under the main ones - or is that yet to come?

Like under vibrators I was kinda thinking of having G-spot, mini... etc

Our problem is that we have too many ideas on what to put in the store, but are WAY behind in writing all those mini descriptions for what we've already got

What are the numbers they have down the left hand side of ya catagories?

Hehe...yeah, creating subcategories is not exactly intuitive. The things to remember are:

-Clicking on the name of the category lets you see what's in that category

-You have to click the Edit icon to edit the category

I had some issues remembering that when I first started learning the software.

Tell me about it! I'm in the same boat as you there. I'm working on the lingerie and dvd's at the moment and they are driving me nuts to be honest LOL

Those numbers are ID numbers. They help the software know which categories are which, so you can change the name of it and not confuse the software. Don't worry about the ID numbers. I don't think you can change them, and I don't think you'd want to, anyway.

Yeah, Alan and Michele have the right idea.
