It's really up to the person. A mentor only gets a gift card if the student isn't an advanced reviewer and doesn't go up for voting while in the class.

I don't see any harm in working with other reviewers. It's a comfort level thing that only the student can decide for themselves.

Oh, another question in regards to reviewing dvds. I didn't post scene to scene in my last 2 reviews for porn club because I really dislike when people do that. I feel like you wouldn't post scene for scene in a regular movie review so why do it for a porn dvd review. But I was wondering if it was mandatory because I got a comment about how it would've been useful. I just feel like posting scene to scene is posting spoilers. I dunno.

Is there a good way to know when you accepted your last monthly review? Sometimes with push assignments and book club assignments, I forget whether I'm due for a new monthly assignment or not, so I usually wind up waiting longer than a month before making requests.

For toys like that, I fall back to a Descriptive review mind set and then tell about my disappointment at the end. It may work for someone else so writing a good review is still important.

I totally agree. I'm not a fan of play-by-play vid reviews...but that's just me.

Other than bashing on the stars for babytalk, appearance, etc., there isn't really much verboten in a review. Just write a review you'd like to read

It's definitely not mandatory and you shouldn't feel obligated to do it. A big reason why a lot of people find it helpful with porn reviews is that rather than a regular movie where there's a big plot and all that, porn is usually just the scenes with activities. It's a lot easier to decide if you're going to like a porn if you know what's going to be in it.

A good yardstick for that would be to check the email you get when the admin assigns a product to you. The due dates are based on the date assigned.

If you've got a couple reviews out though, you'd prolly be better of waiting until you get the reviews done first before asking for more. Don't want to overload yourself...

BTW: Keep up the video reviews! Between you and Dwtim, it feels like I'm traveling

Reviews are all personal, after all One thing you might want to consider (I didn't read your review, maybe you already did?) is just mention the sex ratios of the scenes, which doesn't count as a spoiler but still gives your readers an idea of whether they'd be interested or not.

Pleasure skin = UR3 right? something like that?

I've found the scent fades after a little while.

That's true. I'll have to find away to bring more to dvd reviews next time without compromising what I deem as spoilers.

I will just request something, if it is too soon a notice will pop up telling you when you can request your next one.

Hehe Yeah, I usually finish up my book reviews super-quickly. I had a bunch on my plate when I got back from vacation, but other than that I usually don't have a pile of "to-do's".


I will! But Dwtim and I actually live pretty close to each other this summer, I think. You should check out one of the gazilions of resorts up here.

pure skin, not pleasure skin, sorry.

and yes, numerous washes and it still stinks to high heaven and feels weird, but as I said its probably my extra sensitivity's making it worse.

I got one of those UR3 pocket pussys for my boyfriend. When I first opened it the smell gave me a headache. But after a few washes it's becoming less smelly each time.
