Howdy howdy!

The next Review Program workshop is this coming Wednesday at 7pm EST. The last couple meetings have been really great and I really appreciate that!

For this workshop, we'll keep to the usual Q/A but I'd also like to touch base on video reviews. I was thinking about the group sharing pointers about what works and what doesn't when it comes to shooting your video review.

So, this Wednesday, bring your questions and your usual awesome-sauce to this thread at 7 pm EST.

IF I DON'T MAKE IT BACK:

If I don't make it back for the workshop, I'd like to address the reminder to make ABSOLUTELY SURE that it is OK with Carrie Ann to do a video BEFORE YOU DO THE VIDEO. Just because you have the intro, does not mean that it has been approved for you to do videos on just anything! Many times Carrie Ann has approved a video OR has ASSIGNED a product for video, and you really need to check with her before filming yourself!

This is why I scroll through the different meetings when I have spare time. I really have picked up a lot from them, just by reading when the regulars post tips. It makes it a lot easier in the long run than doing something wrong and then having to redo it.

I had actually asked Carrie Ann if I could do a video review of a product I already had once and she said it was available. I came back about two days later, and one had already been uploaded by someone in the video review program. Luckily I hadn't started my own video yet so I didn't lose anything, and the video review person got the video uploaded with no inconvenience. So while everybody should be checking with Carrie Ann, sometimes there are probably innocent mistakes happening too.

Yes, and I wish that more folks would read these, participate in them, and write notes or something.

I'm far from being the "perfect contributor." I get highly emotional at some topics and offer my opinion readily and sometimes without filter. I am not always on time with my reviews..... I could go on, really. Someone else might for me

BUT I do try to not break the rules or step on toes whenever it can be avoided. It just makes it less-stressful all around if we can be more considerate of the policies and not just do things to get points/gift cards.

Maybe NOW I will be done with my rant?

Well, if Carrie Ann specifically tells you that it's okay to do a video and a person who was assigned the item does it before you can get it up, email her and see if she wants you to not do the video or if she still wants it. Sometimes, for different reasons, she might okay more than one video review.
