What do you recommend for video length?
Between 3 and 5 minutes usually. Things that aren't as involved you can talk less about, but if a vibrator has 85 functions, it's ok to reach 6 minutes too.

Lighting is important. However, video producing programs such as Windows Movie Maker has an option to increase lighting as an effect.

Ok; so what you're saying is since my monthly *giggles* has been shipped, I can try and ask for a manufactured one?

Put the lights behind the camera, but facing you so that you can get the best out of them. There is a thread somewhere around here in the photographers' discussions about lighting, I think those have some good pointers in them as well.

I hate trying to get good lighting with shitty lights.

I film in front of a window, personally, and I have an HD cam. But when I film at night, I make sure I have enough lights in front of me.

For me, what I've had to do sometimes is actually plug in a desk lamp to be right next to me. A few that I shot on my bedroom floor have a lamp propped on top of a box next to me so that I'm visible because my room was just so dark, even with the overhead light on.

2-3 minutes is good although some may require longer times. Remember that the video should highlight the product, not be a review all by itself.

As far writing reviews goes, does anyone have any tips for things to keep in mind when writing a review, things you should always include and things that you shouldn't include?

I think you have to have your monthly review published first

Am I mistaken, or is there no mention of the mentor program and how that works?

NO. Once you COMPLETE the review.

Avoid direct light pointing at the camera. Grab extra maps from around the apartment/house, use white light bulbs when you can (lights that don't give off a yellow glow). An articulated desk lamp is usually handy

Once your monthly assignment is completed and in the task market to be edited, you can try for a manufactured one

I appreciated that too!

The extended template has question prompts for each section. If you prefer the standard template, still reference these same questions to guide your review.

You do the review outside during the middle of the day, preferably in a place with many other people around. Childrens' parks or elementary school playgrounds are very good locations.

Girl With Fire has a fantastic list she shares with her students. With lingerie, try to tell us not only what size it's supposed to fit, but how well it fits you and your measurements. It's most helpful if you can share your measurements as well. Vibrators - don't forget to cover how many functions, how loud it is, and what it's made of. Include materials and ingredients wherever possible, but try to do it in a way that flows and doesn't seem random and out of place.

These are just a few

Be careful with lighting outside though. It's VERY easy to white-wash the whole thing. If you aren't sure, watch the video when you're done .
