Discussion with your partner is always advisable before bringing a new element into a relationship. If you both are not on the same page BEFORE the purchase, then a toy is doomed to failure more times than not....so, communication is always recommended. With SO many new and exciting products out on the market today, and with all the reviews and comments on Eden Fantasys and other sites, there is every opportunity to make a mutual agreement on a purchase, which makes the anticipation of receiving it that much more exciting!

You always have some of the best advice, Al. Sometimes I do surprise my boyfriend with toys, but it's things we've talked about before. I don't think I'd bring home something "out there". It is a great piece of advice.

I have not tried the venus butterfly from cal exotics, but had requests to review it. I have tried the plain butterfly from cal exotics (sorry, I'm not sure of the name of this butterfly) it's the one without the "penis" thing. lol. I bought mine a couple years ago. I used it 2 times & the freaking butterfly ripped in half! It seemed to be made of thick rubber. The size was a one size fits all & I'm a little over 90 lbs so I didn't think it could be that my thighs were too large. Strange, this question has come up a few times on here lately & I've been telling about my bad incident with my own. I don't know if all will break, but mine did. I was not rough with it either. Another bother I had with it was that the butterfly just would not lay down no matter how I adjusted it. To get him to lay flat on the area, I had to hold it which totally defeats the purpose of the strap on. I'm hoping that the venus is a better made product. I really loved the idea of the butterfly SO much that I'd be willing to give a different butterfly a try. If it weren't for the breaking & the not laying falt, I'd totally love it!

You just gave me a great idea...petite sizing! What do you think? As far as a butterfly falling in half, that's something I haven't heard about. That could have been a really older model still in PVC...we have switched everyting pretty much over to silicone, TPR or TPE...which besides being non-porous and safe and pure, is much more durable. Please give us a chance again...we appreciate the business.
