EF was my first experience buying anything other than an adult DVD online. I remember looking for the Cupid Kiss at dozens of sites that didn't tell me much of anything, then I found EF which had tons of product information (including a safety rating) and actual user reviews that weren't just, "OMG! I LOVE THIS 4EVER!" and the toy was on sale! I've never looked back.

I would buy my toys here regardless, however the points program convinced me to start writing reviews and participating in the forums, which I feel have been a positive influence on my sexual health. (My husband certainly loves that I discovered Tenga Eggs and Fleshlights for him.)

The guy in Trenton sounds threatened.

Eden was my first and so far only experience with shopping for sex toys. But I don't have to compare to know I am happy here!

I love reading reviews and I have been willing to try things (anal plugs and glass toys for instance) that I wouldn't have without all the positive info found in reviews and on the forums!

I do hate that in our socity we still have the double standard where it's more acceptable for males to be interested in all matters sexual, while it's unladylike for females to do the same. I do feel like it is better now than when I was growing up, but we still have such a long way to go!!! I do make comments from time to time when it fits in conversation, or someone makes a joke reinforcing the stereotypes, but too often I hold my tounge. It seems like fighting a loosing battle.

Eden was not my first experience shopping for adult products. We had a little luck at a couple of our local places but the selection wasn't that great. To be fair, it's not like you're going to get a permit to zone a 6,000 square foot showroom in my state. And if you do, you worked long and hard for it. But, anyway. It was just...not creepy, but kind of surreal.

It's kind of an interesting experience and I highly recommend it for anyone who has never had the pleasure. After that, I hit a couple of internet sites and I wasn't thrilled with their marketing or their selection.

I don't remember how it happened, but I had never seen Eden's name in the search history before and all of a sudden there it was. I remember getting points for the order or something like that, but I closed the window and didn't think twice. About a year and a half later, I was looking for something else to add and found myself here again.

I never looked back and started reviewing the things I was interested in and participating in the forums. Now I get to be a part of planning some of the awesome things we have going on around here.

I have to say, it truly is unlike any community I have ever experienced. Everyone really cares about the site and is dedicated to making it the best experience one can have on the internet. I think it's super cool that not only is there a chance to purchase things discreetly, but there's a built-in community to talk about those things with! It's just too cool.

I really want to tell these bozos to grow up! High School and it's "rulez" about all things sexual is over, let's have some adult behavior please! Drug stores and WalMart have always sold lube, condoms and small toys. This isn't a new thing, I stocked the shit way back in 1988 on WalMart shelves. It is not the decline of civilization it's a product marketed to a certain group of people. Oh,and in case you're interested: YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO BUY IT!!! WALK AWAY...WALK AWAY FAST if a tiny toy threatens your manhood, or womanhood or your relationship with God.

My first toy buying experience was strange and the woman seemed uncomfortable to be selling me the toy. She didn't know anything about how to care for the toy. She did give me batteries though...

I'm so thankful that we have Eden. I live out in the country and there are not any real sex shops around and the Cupids that is in the state is 45minutes-1hour away and they don't carry any safe materials.

Such a wonderful milestone for Eden!

My first experience with buying a sex toy was from Eden, but I didn't even realize it at the time! It was in 2006 and I was newly married and looking for a discreet site that I could shop from. I found Eden, ordered a few things and when we received them, we only used them once or twice because my husband at the time just wasn't interested. We ended up getting divorced.

Fast forward to 2010 when I met and fell in love with my husband now. We got married in September and started talking about things we'd like to try together. I did an online search and re-found Eden!!! I didn't realize it at first, but when I looked at other sites, I realized that this was the only really discreet one, which was huge to me!

Thank you Eden, for being so kick-ass! I LOVE YOU!!!

My first toy purchase was a year ago on Eden. I've been to Spencers and a few local sex shops, but they just don't offer the variety and information that online shopping does. All you have to go off of is the box information, which of course claims it's super quiet and safe (BAH!) Something that I also really appreciated was that they charged your card anonymously, so the parent I had a joint account on wouldn't see SEX STORE if they glanced at my statement.

I personally really like that toys are getting more mainstream. I feel like they're something that help a lot of people out, and if you don't like them, don't buy them, but you should at least have the option and be educated.

My first experience buying toys was in the old typical 25 cent arcade. I kind felt dirty being there and pretty much just grabbed something and left. The aura around the shop was not the most pleasant and even the guy behind the counter screamed "Dirty old man". Looking back I can only laugh at the experience.

Out of all the brick and mortar stores I have been in since, only one had any clue about safety or offered any advice. That one was after I started reviewing and I ended up teaching the clerk a few things.

I had looked at a few online stores before finding Eden, honestly I only placed my order because they had the best price on the Aneros I was looking for. After placing my order I snooped around and found the wonderful forums. Of course getting free toys in exchange for a review was just the silicone lube on the stainless toy.

I am not sure how to kill the stigma surrounding the use of sex toys, I think that many are still living in the past and or are afraid to outwardly admit they are at least curious. I will say that I find less and less people that have not at least tried some type of sex toy and have no problem admitting it, even in our small town.

My first experience was terrible. The creepy guy in the shop kept peering around the aisles. EF is always safe, and fun. Also, the reviews make shopping that much more efficient!

I've only bought toys in sex shops to avoid paying for shipping and handling..and because I like to chit-chat with the employees. You can learn so much! But, this site has a great review system and a free shipping anniversary special so it looks like I might be buying my first toy online today. Njoy Pure Wand, come to mama!

my first toy purchase was here about 8 months ago. I had visited other sites and was not thrilled at all with the style. eden impressed me with its look and user feel. things seemed clean and not hardcore. I was very confortable from the begining. I fell in love with eden that day.

The first sex toys I purchased were from a bdsm 'stockroom' at the ripe age of 18. I (miguidedly..) bought two gargantuan dildos that have been of no use to me outside of art projects. Yeehaw.

Eden was my first back in 2007. I was almost 50 years old and thought it was time to spice up the bedroom a little. I don't remember the first toy we bought but apparently we were happy with it cause we kept coming back...even after taking a few years off.

I have made purchases on other sites. I haven't made a purchase with EF yet but I'm making my first one tomorrow. I love EF so much better though, I can look for things on here without really knowing what I am looking for. This is the first site that I've come across that has positive and negative reviews(and the negatives are actually sound and structural) as well as video reviews. I was excited about the video reviews because I like seeing what the product looks like in your hands for a size comparison. Also I LOVE that EF uses a visual comparison and you use common items to make sure your screen is adjusted properly. I don't hunk I'll ever be going back to those other sites again!

"Does anyone have any thoughts on why it's "okay" for a guy to masturbate, but it's not "okay" for women?"

Because women have throughout time never owned their bodies. Our bodies throughout time have been the property of others and only now (I think) in this day and age are more than a handful of women are actually refusing to listen to what government, husbands, fathers, mothers, friends and society and even tradition says is the proper use of our bodies. We've awoken and we are reclaiming what belongs to us. And in this day and age, you can see the effort of various thoughts, laws, rules, people and ideas trying to reclaim what they beleive is theirs. When a woman chooses to be with a partner in today's world, she makes the choice to be faithful. In the past, she could have been put to death, stoned, be made to wear chasity belts, punished... now? Cheating on your partner is still wrong, but it is no longer considered to be that your property went against your wishes and needs to be punished.

And this, I feel is the reason why it has always been acceptable that men can masturbate with societies approval and not women. Men have always owned their bodies with no questions asked.

Congrats Eden!!!

How I came to Eden? I was discussing with a friend a while back about various sex toys I wanted (Yup. And I have them all now!!!) and I realised that Eden had the best selection, so kept on searching. Then I realised that Eden paid members for blogging about Eden. So I spent some more time looking through and how things worked for bloggers and signed up.

The rest as they say is history.

Personally I haven't tried a many range of items, and have not yet ordered from Eden. Although the experiences I have had have had their ups and downs.
I believe everything has the right to masturbate, it's quite refreshing.

Congrats to Eden!

Ordering here actually was my first toy experience, I was too shy to go to a store in person and liked how discreet they advertised the shipping and payments to be. Been coming here ever since.

I love Eden because it is such an interactive experience. Between the forums, reviews, community members and great prices, I truly have a hard time shopping elsewhere. As a matter of fact, I don't.

The first two toys I bought were at a cheap novelty store in my mall, and both of those have died. I just walked in, bought the stuff, and left, flushing madly (thankfully my tan skin completely hid the color of the blush). But I think the embarrassment in that even was because of the fact that there was no privacy and a bunch of kids wandering around both the mall itself, just outside the door, and a bunch of immature teens making comments nearby. A few months later I went with a friend to an actual sex toy store, the staff was much more professional, the store was nice and friendly and I didn't feel awkward in the slightest. In front of us, they opened checked the toys before we bought stuff, to make sure there weren't any problems (policy because they had no returns), and I enjoyed the experience. I've gone back a few times before finding EF.
I prefer buying here, because even though I can't actually see the toys in my hands, EF has fantastic customer service (I've seen it in action twice, and both times I was quite satisfied) in case the toy is defective or otherwise problematic. I also really appreciate the text and video reviews and all the discussion that goes on, so that when I pick something to buy, I'm not just relying on a single salesmen and my own nervous judgement. The points and frequents sales don't hurt either .
The only biological reason I can think of for the additional stigma against female masturbation in my experience is the hymen, and the idea of purity and virginity in a woman being tied up in that membrane. But that's a whole separate rant involving gender roles and expectation and reproduction, and so on.

I bought my first toy at Spencers. It wasn't a big deal, but I also live in Miami so things are a bit different in larger cities than other areas.
