My first toy purchasing experience on EF was wonderful, perfect. I have never had any problems with EF, and I always look forward to my next order. Not just because I love getting new toys but because I know my order will arrive quickly and any support ticket that I have ever submitted has been answered quickly as well. CONGRATS on this milestone Eden! Happy Birthday and here's to many, many more!

I think that showing sex toys in popular culture, even in Fifty Shades of Grey, will reduce their stigma in the bedroom.

My first place was a Brick and Mortar and it was overwelming. I love the reviews and love that I can learn about the variety of products.

I like to make purchases on Edens because of the discreet shipping, rather than going into a sex shop and shopping. I get to embarrassed to easily. Dont get me wrong thou, I love to explore, and have fun with toys, I just dont like to show it in public, if that makes any since!

I remember I got a large tax return, and I had been thinking about getting a toy for awhile. I shopped around, mostly online, since it was winter, and couldn't decide. Well, when "Snowmageddon" hit, which was the HUGE snowstorm that left about 2-3' of snow across the US, I had nothing better to do than shop while I was stuck inside. I have a very bad lower back, and my knees can't handle lifting, so it was spend all day online for stuff.

I ended up buying a toy from another site, and I was googling this vibe I wanted, because it was upwards of like $15 everywhere else, and it seemed pricey for a little plastic thing. Somehow, I came across EF. Not only was the vibe cheaper here, but I think it was the free stuff that really lured me in. Well, that and the cheap shipping.

I live near Chicago, so really, it's not something that's a huge deal. I mean, we have a section called "Boy's Town," so sexual freedom is definitely something that nearly everyone advocates here. I really haven't come across anybody that's from the region I live in that's been too sexually restricted.

Since my first experience with EF, I really only ever shop here for my toys. I've gotten involved in the community when I can, and I love it here! The people are friendly, helpful, and the information you get can't be found anywhere else. And, like earlier stated, the frequent deals and sales are an added bonus. I love EF, it feels like home.

I feel sorry for the people who can't open their minds to all forms of sexuality. They're missing out on some of the best aspects of life!

I would imagine most people purchased their first toy either at an adult store, Spencer's (whose line of toys was much more limited ten years ago), or through Adam & Eve, which is - or at least was - the largest adult mail-order retailer for quite smoe time. My first purchase was actually quite good, in a local store that was soon to become an Amazing.net outlet. The staffer was helpful and polite; a far cry for what my wife and I had expected at the time (we were still in college). It really helped remove the stigma of an adult store being this seedy place you were embarrassed to be seen.

When people are able to talk about these things without sniggering and self-mockery, it helps open up dialogue and makes for a more informative environment. It's encouraging to see many specialty boutique popping up with enthusiasts talking about safe materials and constructive dialogue about proper use.

It's interesting you feel that way. I think it's pretty difficult to be biased when it comes to toys. Either you like it, you're somewhere in between, or you don't. Providing that information for others helps them form their own opinions.

These are unbiased opinions on this site. If one hates something we tell you about it because we don't want others to waste their money on a crappy product, but it's up to the custoemr to take our word for it or not.

My first toy buying experience was a good one, but that website was expensive. I don't think EF was quite as big back then. Both of these sites have great customer service, though I think the other one might be a little better.

I always pay attention to reviews, both the good and the bad and take them with a grain of salt.

Open discussions about toys is important, especially understanding that being with a partner is completely different from using a toy.

Oh goodness, I think our first purchase was through a mail order store back in the dark ages. They sold our address and we got all sorts of nondiscreet junk mail from all sorts of companies for a long time. I love the internet, and I love Edens.

Our first toy buying experience started because of an ad in the back of Maxim years ago for positioning aids. I thought they looked really cool, my wife was just slightly weary, but willing to try. We still have and use those aids today, they are fantastic, and the company we bought from was wonderful as well. We continued buying on occasion from that website, but they never quite had the selection, or the wonderful prices, that Eden currently has.

When we first started buying toys, we did most of our shopping at local stores. There was one small shop near us that had a few toys, but mostly lingerie. We then tried a larger shop down the street one time, and we got a Tantus strap-on set from them. That was one of our first high quality toy purchases, but even that shop didn't have a great selection of what we wanted. They just had mostly cheap cheap things.

Then one day I stumbled upon Eden looking for a larger dildo for the strap-on set, and found it here. I purchased it, and went along my way. This was before Eden had points, and I never saw anything about forums or reviews on the site.

I don't know how much later than that, but I found Eden again. At first I found the buyers guides to sex toys, and started reading those. Then one day when I did a search, the points thing poped up. It caught my attention, and searching further, I found the forums, reviews, and my new home.

I love buying from Eden, they have such a wide selection, and a large selection of high quality goods. With the points and the reviewing program, my wife and I have tried glass, wood, steel, dual density silicone, lingerie and so much more. Some things haven't worked out, like steel, but I'm fine with that.

I think part of the problem with people buying or using sex toys is because of the local shops, and how seedy they are. In the shops that I have go into, one of them, call it shop A, came to our attention thru our friends. It seemed like a decent place, and we checked it out. It was in a nice part of town, and blended in nicely. Inside, they had three levels, the main one being lingerie, and it was decent stuff. They also had upstairs the sex toys, which were typically cheaper, and disappointing. Then downstairs was more the bondage items, cages, leather, etc. We bought a few things, but the leather, I noticed was way way overpriced compared to online. Some of it was over double the price.

Another shop we went into lately, shop B, was when we were on vacation, and we just went in to look for something to give my wife's parents as a funny surprise. This was the extreme sketch shop, and it was horrible. The toys were cheaper than cheap, the lingerie non-exsitent, and we were looking for a simple paddle, and they didn't even have that. No wonder people don't want sex toys when its cheap stuff like this.

I had to all the way to the bottom of the page in Orders to see what I ordered first. It looks like the first thing I was assigned and ordered from Eden was the Plug O Lust Butt Plug and a book of erotica edited by Alison Tyler. Enjoyed both.

I had some sex toys already, some from other online purveyors and others from "that shop" where my husband buys his porn and came home with toys to delight me.

He doesn't go to "that shop" anymore. He usually lets me pick out the toys and the porn.

I joined Eden because I wanted to be able to talk about sex and toys with reasonable people. I had been on a few other forums before, and they were usually inundated by teen age goons and woman haters. (The kind of guys who never give women head and think "enny girl who doenst shave her vagina is a hor.") Sheesh.

Much better company at Eden.

I bought my first sex toy from a local sex shop at the age of 18. It was the crappiest vibe ever, but I loved it, haha.

I absolutely am more likely to buy toys here due to the programs. I've grown to love Eden and always use it as my go-to

I just think people need to be educated on what's available. I am attending college with a goal on working in adult sex education, doing workshops and presentations with sex toys and information about the pleasure aspect of sex. I believe these things will help people be more open. People fear the unknown.

Women were always seen as non-sexual creatures. Old psychological information stated that women were basically there to tame men. This is improving, and should get better as society adjusts to women's rights.

I think the reason why it's okay for guys to masturbate but not for women is mainly because of gender stereotypes placed into society today. It's the same reason why if a guy sleeps around and has a ton of sex it just makes him all the more macho but if a girl god forbid does the same thing she is labled as a slut. I think there's still going to be a lot of work to be done to remove these kinds of attitudes from people's minds but hopefully it'll get there.

I bought my first toy at Amazon, but ever since then it's been Eden all the way. I love the reviews. They're seriously the best.
It was kinda a big deal: I was the first of my friends that I knew of who bought any toys. But it's cool because once I finally got over the stigma and got the guts to say "hey guys I just bought this really awesome vibrator", it turned out that I wasn't the only one who wanted sex toys. In fact, pretty much everyone else wanted them and just didn't really know how to get them. Success! I feel a little like the fact that we expect there to be a major stigma is the problem. It's a self-perpetuating cycle, but if we can break it...

I am definitely more confident to buy something that catches my eye on EF simply because of the amazing review program. My first toy was an amazing rabbit vibrator that I still adore. Men are a goofy bunch. I have no idea why they have issues with us ladies masturbating. I don't have any answers for what to do to de-stigmatize sex toys and their use. We all like it, even the ones that say they don't! Get real people!

My first sex toy purchase was from an Irish online sex toy store that gave very little information about the toy you were buying, being completely new to toys I had no idea just how helpful it would have been to have that information on dimensions and materials. Eden all the way now!

My first toy purchase was at a store where I felt I had to be ashamed of my purchase (it wasn't a sex toy store). But I did love the product! It was a cute, discreet lipstick vibrator. I obviously do not have to be ashamed of any of my purchases from Eden and I am so grateful for that!

Look at all this love! It's so fantastic to be able to sit in your own home and have everything delivered to your doorstep, isn't it?

Now, if we could all just figure out a way to live inside of our computers...

I've seen this community practically double in size from March 2011 to present. It's amazing! Just...jaw-dropping, really. And we have even more things planned for the site. It's going to be great!

My first toy was bought at a Sex toy store on a local college campus just a year and half ago. I was quite nervous and uncomfortable as I was old enough to be most everyone in the store's father.
I didn't buy another toy until a year later when I discovered Eden. I almost felt like I found heaven. Toys, reviews, forum, all the wonderful people and so much more. I have been on EF everyday since.
Happy 10th Anniversary EF !!

The first time I got myself a toy, it was one of those small bullets that are connected to a remote. It was poorly made and broke easily, so I was less than satisfied. Whereas on Eden, I've found a larger variety of toys for decent prices that were made well.

I'm more likely to take a chance on an item based on both its actual design and functions, as well as by reading and watching reviews. The first time I bought a toy was...way back in November. it was a small bullet from Evolved, and it still works well today.

As for the double standard on masturbation, it's no secret that society has long had a history of denying women's sexuality from existence, so as to "put them in their place." We still live in a society that values modesty (unless you're "too modest," which is apparently a thing now? standards are weird) over one's freedom of choice and sexual expression. But it seems like this idea is slowly starting to change, which is great because it IS okay for women to masturbate and enjoy it rather than not.

My first toy experience was bought at a local boutique shop. They sell well made items and are amazing! I love buying locally and helping out my community. I thought that having a toy would take away the personal feeling to sex, and to be honest I was really uncomfortable with the idea of putting vibrating plastic in my vagina. But I gave it a shot, and my toy was too small and actually very unsatisfying. Then my boyfriend found Eden fantasy's. He bought me a HUGE looking toy. I was super intimidated, and when i found the $120 price tag I flipped. we had a fight and I never wanted to use the thing. It took a couple of months, but I now have found that toys don't take away the intimacy of sex, but actually do enhance it.

I love Edens Reviews, I do take a high stake in them when considering a product. I really like the video reviews, and bees and vrooms system. This site has helped me trust my products, and I know they will be quality and amazing!!
