I'd err more on the side of caution and go with the 3x/4x since it fits size 18-20 and DreamGirl usually runs small.

I just got these. I'm a size 18, get the 1x/2x
I underestimated myself and got the 3x/4x and they fit like saggy granny panties.

Dreamgirl's chart is dead-on.

If you click on the "Size Chart" button above the size selection, you can see what the company considers its sizes to fit.

For size 18, it looks like you could go with either size.
If you know your hip measurement, it does say 1x/2x can fit up to 48" hips.
3x/4x can fit 50-56" hips.

You also might want to read some reviews- people occasionally will write what they find the size to actually fit.

these particular ones run very large! I'm a sz 22 and got the 1x/2x and they fit a little loose, comfortably so!

yeah, i'm a 22/24 and there's plenty of room. you def don't have to go a size up with these!

a 3x would be good, but a 2x would probably be a good snug fit
