Is Maximus as Great as The Reviews Say?

For the thicker type lube this is my favorite. But I only use it when I need a thick lube, otherwise I have a few other favorites.

I agree with what everyone else said. It can have the peely dry stuff after vigorous sex but not always. It works really well with toy insertion too!

It is my absolute favorite water based lube.

I love the pump. The lube itself is very gel-like so its easier to apply to things like toys.

I cant remember if it turns into dry clumps sometimes but I guess that just means it hasn't been enough of a problem for me to create that association like carrageenan based lubes did.

It is bitter enough that I'd rather not have it in my mouth if I can help it. Sometimes it happens though, but the bitterness is only unpleasant for a moment and goes away quickly.

I want to try this one, but I too was concerned about the flakiness that I've heard about.

For penetrative sex I tend to reach for silicone stuff for vaginal because my boyfriend is especially large and the silicone helps keep it super slippery and frictionless for thrusting. For everything else Maximus or Liquid Silk are my go-to lubes. I absolutely love Maximus when it comes to using silicone toys, and I use them a lot.

Maximus is slightly bitter, but I haven't yet found a water-based, flavorless lube that isn't slightly bitter. The taste is not pervasive or long-lasting, and the lube is easy enough to wipe off, so I've never noticed the taste as a problem. It does have a tendency to flake off after drying, particularly on toys if you don't wash them right after use. It's a pretty minor thing, though.

Maximus is really awesome, I totally recommend it to anyone.

This is the only lube I use. Does have a bit of a bitter taste, but so amazing for not causing reactions or getting sticky.

We use this lube a lot! Got a bottle of silicone stuff for water play because maximus does wash off pretty easily. We've never had problems with flaking and I've fallen fallen asleep with it all over before after some exceptionally tiring sex and never noticed flaking. Taste isn't great but unless you are spreading it on toast then it shouldn't be a problem.

I do normally feel it reactivating in the shower but it does wash off very easily. Parabens aren't a problem for us but I have seen some complaionts. The pump bottle is awesome in the heat of the moment, definitely a winner!

YES! We absolutely love it! I haven't had issues with it drying or peeling. And as far as an aftertaste, I don't put anything on my mouth after its had lube or a condom on it regardless of the "flavor" (yuck!). It is my absolute favorite lube!

I just wish it didn't have parabens. :/
