Well, considering the fact that your partner has never had penetrative sex, the Mistress might be a better choice because, like you said, it's much smoother. The Slim Jim does have a less pronounced head though.
Personally, I'd go with the Slim Jim - it has a realistic shape, is small enough to not hurt someone new, has a slight curve that can hit the g- or p-spot nicely. It also might come down to color. Which of the colors would you and your partner prefer?

I was looking at the Mistress and the Slim Jim as well. I went with the Slim Jim because the head on the Mistress was a little more than I like. I agree with Sir, you should have your girlfriend help you pick it out. That's what I did, even though she couldn't stop giggling, because it is still embarrassing for her since it is still a fairly new relationship.
