Kris is right; Fleshlight did make the Sex in a Can series to be more compact and easier to use. We've used the Sex in a Can masturbators, and while we don't like them as much as the regular versions, they are much lighter.
I can't speak for Fleshlight, but I imagine that most of what takes the weight is the plastic shell, and I think that's one of things that sets Fleshlight apart from most other masturbators: they have that shell that keeps your hand from touching the sleeve itself. However, I do know that some people (like Solar Ray) use the sleeves without the casing, and that does reduce quite a bit of the weight. We're actually really fond of our shells, and if you look on the bright side, it's increasing your arm muscle too!
