balanced handle floggers

Do any of your floggers come with extra weight in the top of the handle? I have a heavy bottom and the arm strength of a 9 year old girl. I have one toy with a balanced handle that I can use for hours without getting tired, but otherwise my wrists tire out long before she does.

Hi EQP (if I may). We make every single one of our floggers right here, so we can usually accommodate some variance in the weighting. As standard, our larger floggers balance at the top of the handle directly behind the lash knot. We can vary the balance point by putting more weight on the pommel knob, at the hanging loop end, though that will, obviously add weight to the flogger. I guess the relevant questions to ask you here are a) have you used any of our floggers? and b) where do you like to balance point of your flogger to be?

Alternatively you may wish to consider of some of our less traditional floggers. Depending on how heavy your bottom likes to play, we have a number of pieces that will likely make him/her beg you to stop before your wrists even wake up. If you can drop me a line back and let me know what gets your bottom squealing I will be able to give you some more focused options in that direction.

Hope this helps, if not, let me know!

I have used your Elk, albeit briefly, at Fringe and I absolutely loved it. It's very yummy. My sub LOVES thud, but since I tired out so quickly I ended up buying something from Fetish Temple with less thud, but with a really heavy pommel. With the heavy handle I can use it for hours without getting tired... but it's just not quite thuddy enough.

I love the heavy pommel because it seems to help put the effort of the throw in my arm and back and not my wrist. I use heavier pommels in scenes quite often and I love the way a heavy handle feels in my hand.

do you have any light floggers with that pack a thuddy punch?

Leave this with me for a couple of days, and I'll see what I can come up with.

Couple of questions.

Are you looking for something with as broad an impact pattern as the elk? Or would you and your bottom consider something more localised, in terms of where it lands?

How about degree of harshness? The elk is essentially a harshness free zone, but I am thinking of a piece that would be fairly light in the hand, quite heavy on the back, and in the higher reaches of the harshness scale.

I'd generally prefer a broad impact pattern, but I also like more localized toys. Both work so long as they're really thuddy.
My sub can take a lot of harshness so long as its a thuddy sensation. Just a little bit of sting pushes her over the top pretty quickly.

tell me more about this piece you are thinking of!

I've just thrown together a fairly light piece, using the elk. It has 20 tails, 12" long on an 8" leather wrapped handle with Turk's Heads top and bottom. I kind of like the look of it. It's not a super heavy piece, but it does throw a bit of weight and some thud for its size. I have no idea if this is going to work, but I have a couple of pictures of it here -
elk bessies and
elk bessies

I expect that will likely turn up as a pile of steaming code, so if it does, feel free to email me at info@leatherbeaten.com and I'll send you the pics directly.

I have also been thinking about something involving 8mm round vegtan leather lace, maybe looped to cut down on the sting factor. That would be quite thumpy, but I think it would have to be fairly short to keep the weight down.

What do you think?
