Yes, we use a bunch of different leathers in various applications to vary the quality of sensations. So we have a range of floggers called Soft Touches, which are designed to deliver the sensual, psychological aspects of SM play, but which barely hurt. In there we have the Velvet flogger, which uses super light pigskin suede, and the Charleston, which is a five lash hollow-braid lambskin finished off with paddle like clappers. Lots of slap, no pain.
We also use quite a lot of goatskin, which if i had to choose, and I'm glad I don't, I would probably say is my favourite leather. That goes into the Nikita, Asp and Scourge whips, the Eve and Venial penitents, and I also use it for knotting, as it is a leather that you can cut very thin, and pull very tight, withour it losing its strength or shape. We have also used goat for handle braiding. Our Cat and Mamba whips are made of braided deerskin, and we oalso offer an elk flogger, which is super lush and heavy.
That's about it for leathers, though I would also say that within the category "cow", there is a huge range of tannages that varies the end product from something like an insanely light, stretchy plonge type garment leather to vegtan armour bends that are over half an inch thick. We try to take advantage of that range too, to make some very different pieces, like the belting leather flogger, which is harsh, heavy and quite intense, the Cardinal penitent, which features latigo tails, and teh Torquemada, another penitent twisted knotted and tied with 2mm round vegtan lace which is light, but really sharp and whippy, something which, along with the Venial, I have no hesitation in recommending for ooh, say, nipples that enjoy a bit of torture!
Hope that helps, and thanks for the question!
