Thanks for the question. We put the Diabolo together with nickel plated brass rivets. I'm not a great fan of glue, if it can be avoided. I use quite enough of it putting the floggers together, and I don't think the collars really need it. We do have a full replacement warranty on all of our gear against defects in manufacturing and materials, but have never had a single collar come back (and only two whips (braided, with hitches working loose)), in over twelve years.
