Rechargeable Vibrators

Sir Sir
In relation to many green movements and ways to save energy as well as space, are there any plans for your company to start making rechargeable vibrators? They're all very interestingly shaped and colored, I think that making them rechargeable would be a great addition!

we are considering both rechargeable models and including rechargeable batteries with each unit. what is the greenest option in your estimation?

That's great! I'm not sure actually, I would suppose that it depends on how each of them is made in terms of what materials are used, how big they are, and what they can be hooked up to. I would think that rechargeable solely, like with hookups to be charged in outlets or USB ports, would have the least environmental impact, though rechargeable batteries also have their good points.

i also am conflicted. i thought rechargeable units were the way to go at one time, but now i'm leaning toward rechargeable batteries. rechargeable batteries work in any battery operated item. rechargeable units only work with the specific charger. i already have a dozen or more chargers. i have to label them so i remember which goes with which toy. that's a drag.

I definitely know what you mean. It's so hard to decide. What would be good though (in using rechargeable batteries OR rechargeable units) is if the line of products that you made were all compatible with the single charger. Which this also poses problems though in the selling of the vibrators and all of that (buying with or without the charger, deciding whether to include the charger at all, selling it separately, etc.) It's a very hard choice to make because there are so many variables with it.

all PAPAYA Toys would have the same charger. but if i have LELO charger and WE-Vibe charger and an Emotional Bliss charger and, and, and, and. well you can see how difficult this can be.

Definitely, I know exactly what you mean.

Just a thought, would you be able to make something which could use one of those chargers? (If there's no legal issue). Or maybe someone should manufacture a charger with different connectors (like I've seen for cell phones) so that we only need one.. but that's just me rambling on.

not overly likely. all that kind of engineering is proprietary. i don't see manufacturers sharing that kind of information. that's why i'm thinking rechargeable batteries is the way to go.

Definitely. In order to do something like that, they would all have to decide on a certain design and agreement which would be very difficult.

I personally do like the idea, but it's very unlikely that it would happen and unrealistic. Then again, you never know!

Well, like I said, there are similar things for cell phones and probably other electronics but I imagine cell phone batteries are more alike than vibe ones.

I came to the same conclusion just a few weeks ago. Keeping up with the toys is enough, and adding chargers to that is too much. I now use rechargeable batteries and I wonder why it took me so long to figure that out.

BTW, I'm still loving the Turtle!!

This is a good idea, buying batteries for my toys and everything else in my house tends to get out of hand. I have a set of rechargeable batteries and they are the best thing but a little pricey sometimes.
