First off, I love your products. I just reviewed your leather hood and both my wife and I LOVED it.

But here's my question - I noticed you released this sexy little collar with 'Bad Kitty' written on it.

I've always wondered - who comes up with the kinky slogans for things like that?

I work in copywriting, so I'm always 'brainstorming' headlines for offers and programs. I come up with a hundred of them and then my bosses pick one or two they like.

Is it a similar process with your kinky copywriting? Is there a long list of potential slogans, of which 'Bad Kitty' was just your favorite?

Can you share any of the rejected ones with us?

Hi Red Roulette,

Thanks for the positive feedback on our products, we always love to hear that.

About the word collars - our designer came up with the first eight words based on his knowledge of what he thought would be popular, and he got some of them right. Slut, Slave abd Bitch have all been great. Daddy and Daddys Boy - not so much.

We did so well with them, we decided to expand the line. It was one of the most fun brainstorming projects we have ever done. We had over 50 employees involved in the brainstorming to come up with the list of possibilities. Once we had the list of all ideas, we all voted for our 12 favorites. From that came awesome sellers like Bad Kitty, Sexy and Fuck Me. We also did Pig, Queen and several others that ended up as duds. Funny thing is - none of us thought of Porn Star and some other basic ones that would have done really well. I would love to share some of the ones we did not end up doing, but it has been so long, I do not have the information anymore.

Anyone else have ideas - always fun to share. I wish we had done "Diva" and "Flirt".

Thanks for the great answer!

I wondered about 'PIG' too - I had the choice between a flogger with 'PIG' written on it and 'BOY' and chose boy because even though it wasn't 'appropriate' for what we'd be using it for, it seemed sexier than pig!

although I regretted by decision when my wife gave me an almighty SMACK on the arse with the 'BOY' slapper and that evening, when I was at the gym, somebody in the changing room pointed out that I had BOY emblazoned across my right arsecheek!

Cringe!

Bet you would have cringed more if it said "PIG"!

This is a fun thread! It immediately made me think of Samuel Jackson in Pulp Fiction wearing a collar that said "Bad Mother Fucker". I also thought of how funny it would be for an uncle to open a present at a family Christmas party and pull out a Daddys Boy collar. (That one caught me off guard and made me laugh)
