Spartacus is a family business, which my parents founded while I was in high school. That made for some interesting comments from the guys at school, let me tell you! While I was in college I was working in various restaurants, and my parents asked me to join the company, at our retail store. I was super shy, so seeing the showcases with dildos actually made me uncomfortable for several months - I could not even look at them!!
The rest is history, I guess - I have been here since 1988. I have been involved with product developement for 15+ years. I moved my way up from store clerk, to receptionist at the manufacturing office, into sales, and now operations. And no, I no longer blush if I see a dildo!
As for new products - We have a whole bunch of ideas we have not yet manufactured. Wood paddles and metal spreader bars are on the wish list - but we are not specialists in wood or metal. We would have to outsource them, and quality outsourced products are hard to find.
Many of our new products are variations of an existing idea or product, so brand new, never created ideas are hard to come by. oh - I just thought of one that is coming out really soon, that my husband thought up. It is a variation on an existing item. A set of nipple clamps attached to a long chain with a bullet on the end. The possiblities are HUGE with what can be done!!! I will post a picture really soon, so check back.
